What put you off the SPL one ?

It's nice to take a few months to get to know what you have, sell/delete the losers, and identify any REAL gaps to come to grips with what is something you enjoy (like me buying reverbs when I have more amazing reverbs that I'll need for years - but just bought another), or something you need - possibly only one of - like a great gate (hello, StandardGate!) so you can get rid of anything lesser/loser.

At this point, I can't think of anything I need anymore, so it's gotta be substantially different or better. Except reverbs, which I seem to just be slowly collecting. But, even those have to be amazing to my ears (for example, I didn't like the Quantec one or the Strymon one).

Probably but I don't even know the price nor the upgrade price. Point being, apart from a minor interface glicth I got it's a really nice plugin even at full price.

Agreed. And I have to keep talking myself out of Exponential Symphony crossgrade for $25 and Stratus for $40. I basically just want them for the updated GUIs as well as the support but then I remind myself I have the Liquidsonics bundle and several other great reverbs.

Me too, I thought it was the full version - the email didn't say that it's the Lite version in the heading & I didn't click the link as I already have the full version.

I claimed the Lite version as a free product when placing a PB order some time ago. The full version then cost me a total of £14.95, as that was the price I paid for the upgrade at PB in October, so it might be worth waiting for the Lite version to be a free monthly gift that comes with a PB order & then waiting again for a similar upgrade price.

To be honest, I haven't really used it - I should make a point of playing around with it. It's another plugin that I picked up for next to nothing & still haven't explored yet. I probably wouldn't have picked it up if I hadn't got the Lite version for free & the upgrade price hadn't been so low - I definitely wouldn't buy the Lite version for $20

Nice tone stack! A trick I like with Blyss is placing it on a parallel track to the bass. Filter the lows and overdrive it. Then blend with the fader to taste. Really wish Kush would make the saturation in Blyss a separate plug with some modern functionality so I wouldn't have to do this. But it keeps the subs clean (checked in VSX Mike Dean's Mains and Car!) and for my taste gives me everything I want for adding refined grit to electric bass guitar.

Isn't it all the UAD-developed ones, I. E. Only excluding ones developed by Brainworx, Softube, Sonnox and other third parties?
Those third parties generally offer their own native plugins.
With no investment in the UAD ecosystem so far, I am OK with those not being offered in the Ultimate bundle. But if I had bought them as UAD2 plugins it would smart to not have a native path forward for the license purchase.

It makes me wonder what Waves has planned after March 26. I'm on the fence about upgrading from Horizon to Mercury. It's around $450 from Waves but wondering if it's better to do through a dealer before the 26th. Of course I don't -need- it. But...

While I think its nice we have a site like knobcloud for selling second-hand plugins I also have a strong distaste for it every time I've visited there. It just feels like there's far too many scammers trying to sell plugins that were given away free or people trying to make money off stuff they bought on sale and most of it is overpriced, sometimes ridiculously.

Then there's the approximately 10-20% on there that have fair and realistic prices and selling for prices at or below regular sale prices. But as a whole I despise it and have yet to be tempted by anything that seemed a good enough price to actually be bothered with the hassle of buying/transferring secondhand. Maybe Waves prices are really good but that's one brand I've not searched despite searching a dozen others.

Kind of a shame really as I was hopeful for finding some decent deals and even maybe selling a handful of things I don't use but everything I've seen so far seems like a waste of time/effort and I'd rather just use what I have and wait for a sale if I want something. Just my opinion, as always YMMV.

understood... it's not for everybody... there are scammers everywhere on earth... anywhere they can get away with it... ya just gotta be careful, ask questions and do the homework... i've been scammed multiple times online and traveling through SE Asia... but it took all that to get me to understand where i am... earth, where scammers rule... hell, just look at advertising and sales.

i've gotten some ultra bro deals from knobcloud, but i had to be on top of it cause they usually go fast... definitely an acquired taste.

But If I get it from a dealer it's gonna work out about $6 per plugin. That's even cheaper than UAD!

But with such buying power comes great responsibility. You will have to post about the $6 per plugin deal all day every day.

I was gonna get DMG Audio's Limiter but that's £40.
