With the holidays around the corner, I've put a moratorium on purchases. The last 3 things I purchased were: Chor'X 2, OPS7, and the noise addition to Shaperbox2.

I'm trying to not demo or buy more EQs or compressors or basic things like that I already have many of (and really only use a few of each type no matter how many I buy) vs. just using the excellent tools I already have and can use quickly. I know, that's sacrilegious here.

However, Spectrasonics may blow up my pause in purchasing.

I also bought Claro and love it. Best price I could find was 84 and some change from Plugin Discounts.

Thanks, fokes... I will undoubtedly be unable to resist Claro within the sale period... after a little more time of build up and anticipation. I'm a Sonnox fanboi now, after a few recent acquisitions.

Can’t say if it’s emulating anything or not (my guess is no), but It does sound good and has some nice features. The UI is a little rough and not resizable... and getting a demo is a bit of a journey, but a decent eq overall.

No. It can emulate the Q shapes/properties of various other eq's though.

I've been using ARC3 system-wide for a few weeks now with RME loopback and Cantabile as a VST host. Works flawlessly, only issue is that I have to turn off Cantabile's audio engine when changing buffer sizes. Not sure how you'd go about it if you don't have an interface with loopback though.

I successfully sat it out. Just when I finally DID give in the Spitfire code wasn't valid anymore.

Yeah, tried Matcha once. Totally unconvincing.

Bass instruments are much easier to implement though, so there might be a chance for Keemun.

but I'm curious to read about Keemun.
It might also put some price pressure on the Toontrack bass instrument, which has never been subject to a sale yet, afaik.

EDIT:
Had a quick watch to the demo and listened to the examples they provide on the PA website.
The UI is great, but the sound really reminds me of an old Roland ROM sample player, like U220. How can you come up with this in 2021? I don't get it.
Toontrack will feel no pressure by this.
