FLUX:: Studio Session Pack $49 these plugins ROCK! Verb Session reverb is worth it alone. Among the best soft-reverbs out there IMHO.

This Pack is limited to Stereo / 96kHz usage something, I can very well live with. Only thing is the FLUXCenter download client (it's ONLY used for download) can be a flaky at times and the plugin GUIs are rather smallish but that's it.

Actually I think Flux shot itself in the foot with that, somehow. I got it years ago to try and have never felt I needed the big 7.1 / 192kHz version. They were also quite more expensive than today.

If you can make the change when there’s a sale that suits you, then it’s not so bad. I paid once 15$ to WUP Element from V1 to V2, then spent the voucher on something else.

So, no voucher for me. I already spent the dough a few hours earlier.

You've got your November personal voucher? I haven't received mine yet for this month even the one promised with minimum spending etc. Just wondering whether other people have been getting theirs yet?

OK so I got a Halloween candy hangover with an unspent voucher..... not sure how I'm feeling about that... stupid or virtuous?......

It was October 30th for the Halloween sale. I bought plugins from the same sale, the morning of October 30th, then came the $50 voucher for that sale.

I tried to get them to honor it since it was the same day, and they refused to.

I don't think I'll buy much else.

Why the grumbling? It should have been that a long time ago. Getting free or almost free plugins every month, no other company does that...

I don't think $99 on a $75 is so bad I would normally end up taking it to that level.

No other company seems to do that, true. OTOH, it's like a cashback you can only use in their store, so would have been already included in the orignial pricing, as the percentage is known from the start ($600 is $25, etc.). As for the selling of vouchers, they could have easily prevented that on a technical level by creating individual vouchers tied to specific accounts.
I don't think it's very fair changing the rules mid-game...
It's still a good deal, though, I'm not overly complaining. Just a bit surprised about their whining when they should have thought about consequences beforehand.

I've been getting $50 vouchers this year so that means I'm out of PA poker if you can't apply the discount to go below a total spend of $75. Not sure if it'll work that way tho.

Hopefully the BF sales will be worthwhile for us cheapskates.

Because a big thing was made in PA's E-Mail about there being 5 Fridays this November, it might be best to wait for 29th and apply the voucher then as they might be holding back their best deals for then hoping people will have used their vouchers before then and then decide they have to get in on those late deals as well (voucherless). (Used a lot of "then"s in this msg lol).

Everything I have got from PA has been top notch.. and service has been great, although I get vouchers, I don't always bite, it depends on if I 'need' a plugin...

Good for you! I've been past "needing" most plugins I end up buying for a long time. It's more the "wanting" part, that's my problem.

Hey they didn't change the rules. they gave vouchers to users who then gamed the process. They closed the loophole. Tying vouchers to accounts probably is a huge headache just to give people discounts. This is simple and runs itself...

True, whining is probably too harsh a term. Sorry, PA.

But they did change the rules, as previously, there was no minimum spend attached to the vouchers. Theoretically, that could have influenced some peoples' decision to buy from them. I must admit, thought, not mine... The vouchers were part of the deal and not just a bonus, and that part was now changed from one side.
Well, to be fair, it's probably mostly an issue with sales, anyway, as regular prices are mostly beyond the minimum spend.
Btw: I don't think I have "gamed the process", didn't sell nor buy vouchers.

I am surprised it lasted as long as it did. However, to get the higher-valued vouchers, you still had to spend a couple hundred each year so they may have worked on the basis that the policy was bringing in enough to make it worthwhile even with a significant fraction getting free or $5 plugins.

It may have changed now not just because of the sub but because, if you'd been on the $75 tier for a while, you could easily expect to have a large pile of PA stuff that there's little left to get or just opted for the sub as it's cheaper than your average annual spend.

No worries and I think they have a classic problem giving something and then modifying it. There was a guy I used to give my vouchers to. Figured PA made a sale and the guy got plug ins he wanted. It never occurred to me to sell them, and honestly I do think that's a bit much!......I wonder if you can still give vouchers to people? I didn't use mine last month......

I still think paying $30- for something like HG2 or VSM3 is an amazing deal..... I have both and they are very useful tools and unique for what they do. PIA is still top of my list as selling great tools, discount system or no!....

Indeed. Classic problem that only the ones losing are loud, those (probably many) happy people don't complain. Well, I honestly didn't lose, just don't like these changes of the deal in mid game. You just don't do that. But then again, I don't see the whole picture of it.

I, too, think that some of those tools are really great (obviously) and am happy I got them at a good price.

Yes, I know, I've nearly stopped using my waves plugs apart from API and CLA compressors, but the PA stuff is still a regular use for me, but TBH, I'm not involved in any serious recording sessions at the moment, I may well 'want' another plug in, if that happens..

I don't have any real issue with them. I had an unlucky timing where the voucher seemed to say "Thanks for buying plugins. We appreciate you and here's a voucher showing what you could have saved earlier today if you had it, but you didnt."


With them refusing to honor the voucher for a purchase I made a few hours earlier, I understand why people were gaming their voucher system. It all seems like a game. Don't buy now. Buying now is for suckers, wait for a voucher.

So codes weren’t unique, or tied to accounts, does that mean we could have clubbed together and stacked a 25 a 50 and a 75 every month.

Looking at it spending $75 but being able to apply a $50 voucher is palatable. Spending $100 to get $50 off with a voucher like PA did with last month's 'surprise' voucher ain't so palatable.

PA owes me nothing. Their generosity with the sales and the vouchers has allowed me to pick up multiple top plugins at very low or no cost. And they get used, displacing most of the others I used to use.

The only problem with their strategy is that there isn't anything left that I really need. One or two could tempt me, though, and if I had to spend $25 on top of a voucher, well, I almost feel like I owe them.
