Received two $29 vouchers today - what are the top two favorites from PA? Have heard a lot of people like Townhouse but wonder if that’ll just be a duplicate of The Glue.

Do a quick demo. I haven't used Glue in awhile, but I'd hazard a guess that Townhouse is grittier and not as grabby/controlling. The UI sucks on Townhouse - it's tiny. You'll probably end up wanting to use DAW mapping/controls. I think I got it for $5 awhile back, and it's a steal at that price.

I'm looking at Shadow Hills A and MC77, among others, if those are applicable for the code. I'd look at Oberhausen, but recently acquired something that makes that moot enough to not bother.

If you're a hobbyist, especially, you have to "wait them out". Eventually, you can get every PA plugin for <$30. Those who want to get things fast, early, and not wait, generally pay more. At this point, I 100% will never pay more than $30 for a PA plugin. It's that or I won't buy it. Because I know I'd always feel cheated if I paid more.

An OB-6. Based on different chips, but similar enough. And hardware. And poly.
The upcoming Synapse Audio OB-Xa should be an interesting plugin. I had issues when I did the demo of Oberhausen before buying the OB-6.

As for PA, I just downloaded 5 demos. Not sure how to properly do that in a few days, but... for $29 I can make a mistake (but not two!).

I’m at that point with Plugin Alliance where it’s mostly just guitar amp emulations that I’m missing (I already have a Kemper as well as Helix Native and AmpliTube)...

I’m currently missing the software instruments, as well as a few bits I’m not so excited about. Have already got the Arthuria collection, so I’m sure there’s some crossover - but which software synth is everyone liking the most?
