I remember demoing the Octavox when it first came out.

Based on my impression of that, I gave this deal a hard pass, especially since it meant having to sign up for yet another audio plug-in web store. There are better products out there if you actually could use a harmonizer plug-in.

Kush audio is 25% off everything. They've done 50% off everything in the past though and BF around the corner.

To be fair I had it in my basket for days and didn't think much of demo videos, probably wouldn't have gotten any use.

Almost 7000 posts and I have yet to see anything I actually need.

same here. I'm almost leaning toward buying a real synth over that though, as cool as it would be to have that many styles at your fingertip i kinda want to buy a nord lead instead just to have a cool instrument at my fingertips

The money I've spent this year on stuff I could have had a Kronos though I would have noticed just how much I was spending then...............oh well...........

I know I would like to see the Neve console but I don't think that's going to happen this year in spire of what has been written on the PA site. There's only one plugin in the current stable from them I want and we all know what that is - SHMC. Other than that - I'm done with this poker game.

yeah i've been eyeing the Waldorf Quantum kinda fantasizing what it'd be like to have actual money in my bank account as opposed to the lifestyle i'm living right now

i am pretty happy with the tools i have when it comes to pure musical instruments. i have a world class VST folder that i have spent a lot on. sometimes it's not clear.

i just bought 150 for Zynaptiq Intensity. to my ear it will enhance my recordings about 1%. but that % adds up in the marketplace of production and if this is your dream career that does matter.

the thing about the "centerpiece synth" like a beautiful nord Lead or Waldorf Quantum is that ultimately they're like really world class friends. you just want them around, in your house, hanging out with you. it's not like Intensity by Zynaptiq, or DynOne by Leapwing. Those are more like algorithms that enhance your ability to stand out with production.

For me, the Nord Lead or some of those synths or guitars out there are more like... just a really deep, heartfelt friend I want to have in my life.

Had to jump in before these vouchers expired. Got the Console N and VSM-3 for a whopping $39. Haven't had a chance to try them yet, so we'll see if they live up to the hype.

I'm done buying things I barely use or even need just because it seems a "no-brainer" deal . I reclaim my brain.

Offering annual subscription for $199 lol (after all the E-Mail/marketing hype I was seriously expecting something a lot more enticing from them)- I was offered $149 when they introduced it. Can't see this tempting many in to the subscription model... I'll stick to the sales and just get what I feel I want/need.

Edit: Oh wait it is $199.99 with the emphasis on the 99 cents lol. Just like Waves adding 99 cents to everything. Come on Waves just call it $30 and PA just call it $200. So funny and condescending at the same time.

Gets slammed for tightening that up, and not dropping prices enough on subscription...... In re Dirks open letter, this bit made me laugh ""forever license" version of the MEGA Bundle.
In general I am super proud of this collection of currently 108 plugins from almost 30 brands with a total list price value of more than $17,500.00 (let that sink in!). But, even at the way reduced bundle price of "just" $6,999.99 I just don't feel like proposing to anybody to really go out and simply buy "

Well the cent thing is not unique for pa or waves. It is common for a lot of sales. But 69,- would work also.

We al know it is 70 bucks. But our mind tells us it is less.

I agree with u ... but for those spouting that they aren't against paying full retail prices on plugs what's the uproar of $7K for 108 plugs that works out to $65 per. I believe people do spend $7K in plugs unwittingly it's just when one developer jams u up for that much u have an instant recoil.

I don't like people getting over on me, who does, I'm also strongly opposed to subscription plans to plugs ... just buy what u need. U can't need em all; if u do you'll eventually get them and save your hard earned cash. It's reasons like this I've lost plenty respect for plugin developers, they're almost as bad as energy companies( I have Solar generating plenty kwh they take sell to others and still try to charge me without properly reimbursing me for generating almost double what I use).

It`s also not like they had entirely nothing to do with creating the situation in the first place.

1. they set imaginary high prices for their plugins to make them appear more 'professional'

2. then they see that sales are not good enough for them because of cheaper competion.

3. then they start handing out vouchers with a half-assed backend security system and pushy sales to get onto everyones' hard disk.

4 then they comlain about 'entitled' and 'gaming' users.

PA business practices were a puzzle to me from day one. One I mostly enjoyed but still.

It should be the End of WUP as we know it.

Those vouchers come with significant restrictions. They expire after 45 days and can only be used up to a proportion of the cost a plugin (25%) or a bundle (50%). You are generally better off trading up to a bigger bundle if you have the option. But then you hit a point where there's very little left to buy where the voucher is going to make a difference unless you happen to hit a sale at the right time.

Waves isn't saving you money with that voucher - it's designed just to make you feel better about spending a bit more in a hurry.
