From what I can tell, you are all set. Anything else will be tuning to taste, not something you MUST do. You can rest easy and just get on with it! That's a good place to be.

Totally! I'm pretty lucky to have all that. I probably need cables from the amp to One15 from the same lengh though.
I took your advice on the A800 amps, and they are rocking. I don't feel the need to pay more, or experiment for days.

Has anyone tried the Neumann kh750 with Amphion monitors. The dsp to align and crossover is intriguing.

This is where the secret is. It translates like a breeze. Never had this before!

These speakers made me have some serious realisations about what is actually of use in a mixing speaker. For example the fact their bottom end breaks up at a certain level with a mix that isn't tight yet, whereas it goes a lot louder with a tight mix, is a godsend, not a "fault". It is another wsy it shows when things are not done yet. And when the bass is done on them it translates to big rigs with zero issue. Only reason to have sub is for a tracking vibe-up, to get more physical pummeling, or to make the "world" it makes taller for a bit.

Some day, I wish to get a Flex25 to augment my One18. I'm 100% happy with them for mixing and making music, I would love to be able to experience them with a Flex25 as well...

I would just add a nod to those working on cinematic things where you really kind of need to experience the low end. Watching the Two18s wave their little hands in the air is not the same thing.

Despite the pictures of his room, his main monitors are Quested V2108 (45Hz - 20kHz.) The big main in-wall Questeds have been disabled for years. And there's no sub on the V2108 (a Mackie sub was tried years ago.)

(His mixers and the studio mix rooms are different with full range.)
So the Amphions aren't too different.

Yeah, I am aware he uses those and they don't go very deep, but man do they do 'BIG" image regardIess. Perfect choice for movie vibes.

No, but not been in a room that makes it a useful option with them either. May soon be and revisit then. Thinking one15's plus subs as "bigs" in a (hopefully high roof) garage size setup in the next place. And my nee, own ones as nearfields. Been mostly on my prototypes recently, testing. Amphions not even set up right now.

Got my ONE15s set-up yesterday evening and I am blown away by how holographic they sound. It's like I'm listening to everything with a magnifying glass yet it's still super coherent. I'm legit hearing details that I've never heard before.

On that note, I got a demo pair of ONE18s to compare which I'll be doing later today. Having a hard time convincing myself to adjust my current setup, but when I heard them on the floor at VKLA, the ONE18s sounded better every time so I definitely need to try them in my room.

My Jim Williams-modded 545 is working amazingly too. Thanks to all the people who have been posting in this thread for the past 7 years I've read basically all of it.

It’s interesting because even though there is another brand of monitor people are really championing , a trusted set of ears who likes those and is also a Amphion user stated that for mixing everyday the One15 would still be the choice over the the other brand.
I feel my Amphion’s work I am not actively looking to replace them in fact I like the brand enough that I switched models but stayed with Amphion . I did buy Barefoots for composing and playback but I am itching to actually get a Flexbase and a pair of Two18’s and sell the Barefoots.

People are very loyal to the brand and that makes sense

If you like what they do then they have a range of sizes/price points to suit most rooms/budgets

I’ve never been a ‘chase the trend’ monitor guy

I went from medium ATC’s to large ATC’s and wasn’t looking for something else before hearing Two18’s and instantly knowing they were something special

I got Base25’s when they came out and love them but was also perfectly happy with just the Two18’s

I’ve kept my ATC’s for playback and a set for home as they are loud and rich and detailed and I enjoy music on them and respect the brand a lot

I’ve had MM27 and more recently MM45’s but they just do nothing for me

But for work (and that’s what mixing is for me) I rely on the Amphion’s way more than I do anything else in the studio

Ok so, the ONE18s are fantastic as well but I think my listening distance is too close for them. I sit ~44" away, and while that seems to be perfect for the ONE15s to get all holographic-y, the ONE18s seem to need to have more room. I am using the Amphion placement guide as well, with a laser pointer I got specifically for the task I'm curious to switch back to the 15s and see if I end up missing the extra lowend and smoothness. I have to agree with with everyone regarding the differences between them, though it could be placebo. They're going to be my only set of monitors (besides my amazing HD800S which I will never part with), so I feel like ONE18 might be better in that sense? I have a few more days until LA Pro Audio needs the 18s back so I will keep testing things. Any advice is appreciated!

That's what I was led to believe as well, get the more expensive "deeper" monitor as my main etc.
It turns out they are simply voiced a little different, and One15 extends low enough to work, in my room. One18 needed a good amount of space and I was not feeling the small triangle with them.

If you can do like I did: plug them side by side and A/B, close your eyes and compare. To me it was clear what I clicked with, in my room.

It's great that you are taking the time to fine tune and test them both.

With the HD800 as an alternate and ultra-full range, detailed window, I guess you'd be pretty much set for good!

I recently had to move my studio, and the new room made more in love with my one15 than ever before. AND the choice of sub and bass manager i had, which already was making me happy, now makes me want to keep listening to music after hours of work (which unfortunately i can´t always do, cause i need to rest too). The sub is a Rythmik with a Studio Technologies model 65 bass manager that i snagged for $200 . I don´t use sub for 95% of the mixing, just one pass to check, BUT, im starting to mix a lot of music for film and it helps a lot to hear (and feel ) what is going on on that last octave. Also when recording-composing-producing. The Rythmik direct Servo achieves a precision ive never heard before (well, maybe something similar when i had a Bag End 18 system that was much much more expensive)
