In short, it's a 3 oscillator per-voice ladder filter variant of the DSI/Sequential synth formula established with the Prophet 6 and OB-6. In concept, it's similar to the old Memorymoog, though in execution it's really its own thing.

Nearly everything is knob per function, so editing sounds is intuitive and direct. The price you pay for that is somewhat limited options for modulation, though having a third oscillator that can be switched to a 'low frequency' mode means that you effectively get a second LFO on this synth.

The sound quality is spectacular. I've owned both the Prophet 6 and OB-6, and this thing is bigger and bolder than either of them, with a wide palette of sounds. Even without using the built-in effects, you can get a powerful range of sounds, and when you add the effects into the mix, the possibilities are mind boggling!
