I hope the build quality is on a par with the Poly D, which is built like a tank.

But..... enough with the synths already Behringer!..... please build some other cool vintage inspired gear like a plate reverb, tape deck or tape delay. Or some other analog recorder based on other tech that wasn't available way back yonder.

Because there's only so many synths one needs. I actually find the obsession with synths really strange. It's just one instrument, why do people need so many? When i see a picture of some synth freak with 40 synths, it's as odd to me as seeing someone with 40 saxophones. Less synths and more "real" instruments in music please!

The best part of the SH-5 for me was the separate Band Pass filter. I had trouble using the SH-5 as the CV/Gate control was in the back and disabled the keyboard. I hated reaching around the back to plug and unplug the controls when I wasn't hooked up to DAW.

The demo does have a lot of that Roland sound though.

Is it possible to bypass the BP filter on the SH5,or not?

As I recall the BP filter is not in the signal path unless you engage it. It is sort of a standalone processor in the SH

Ok great. I know the BP filter is one of the main selling points with the ring mod but it's even better if you don't want to use it.

I did not like that there was No Envelope Control of that BP filter so I'd like to see if B added that. If not there are euro modules of that circuit with CV.

How so? It gets solid reviews, and mine is fantastic. I've played an Expander, OB8 and OBx and it compares favorably. Other than a less than optimal keybed, it nails the sounds.
