Hmmmm, i'm a bit worried about the quality of the keyboard on the Poly D.
At 22:26 in the Tim Shoebridge film linked above, he has a hard time playing the gentle arpeggio on the Poly D, whereas every time on the Matriarch he plays it evenly without any notes jumping out. Could be a different velocity curve or velocity on the filter on the Poly D, but yeah, wouldn't be strange to find a crappier keyboard in the Behringer.
So this is pretty interesting. I've got the Grandmother with the same keybed, and I can tell you it feels wonderful. It's a Fatar bed, very high quality, I've never tried the PolyD but I can pretty confidently tell you the Matriarch has the better keybed.
Except...
There is an issue with the Grandmother velocity curve that I believe extends to the Matriarch as well. It is very difficult to play softly and generate low midi velocity notes. It basically jumps from nearly 0 to quite high, and it has a significant impact on playability.
The issue has been raised with Moog and noted in a few places and it doesn't appear Moog are offering any solution.
I note that you are hoping to use the Matriarch as a midi controller, this issue would be a show stopper for me. In fact I often use another keyboard as a controller for the Grandmother so I can play with more expression.
Edit: Wow this thread is like a year old! I guess you either got the Matriarch or the Poly D by now...
