i decided to not register the plug/code and my high recommendation of pb as given in the survey has now fallen !

Please accept my in-sincerest apologies that the freebie didn't meet your expectations, even though I ungraciously spoilt the ending by letting you know what the freebie was!

I j just thought that it could be useful to people that want a boost in their plug-in numbers, after all as we all know it's how many plug-ins you have that really counts. And more is always awesomer.

An extra free plug-in reduces the amount you paid per plug-in which gets you closer to the magic number of less than $8 each.

(BTW I didn't see any great plugin pictures of classics -- just a boring survey then the freebie.)

Demoed it 2 times, cause I really wanted to like it. I settled now on process.audio Decibel, even bought extra an used iPad to save some monitor space and I really love it!

For me decibel is the real deal. Also for tracking it is really really nice and helpful.

i am probably on my 5th month out of a free sub from ssl.
although i own 97% of their plugs i thought i would try this before actually registering 5 or so of my plugs via ilok. the other 12 or so are registered.

this sub is an ilok subscription and i can hand on heart say it has been very frustrating with authorising each month, ilok not seeing licenses etc.

i have never had these problems with my perpetually owned ssl ilok plugins…

a very bad experience which thankfully will never occur again..

I have AA Pink4 which is a good API emu...it might be due to the circuitry but the real one imparts an element of dimension and harmonics.

To my ears, it seemed to push the sound forward on top of frequency alterations...maybe because of the added density. It's hard to quantify...

I agree that plug-ins are getting close...but are still missing something.

yea, i'm just waiting for their guitar strip plug to go on sale, then i've got all i want from them.

did a comparison between their native channel strip 2 and the bx 4000 E recently... two completely different sounding plugs... very interesting.

sculpt 1.2 is now out on the pa installer with 7 new themes amongst other things…

different desks that they came from…. might be that the latest ssl 4k channel strip that only comes with the sub or hardware controller is more like the 4000 E…not sure…

I tend to collect loads of feeebies and then never use them. Probably because they were free and I forget about them the moment I snag them.

Expanse lite is definitely in that bracket and I don’t have it installed. Was the upgrade worth it for you? Do you still use lifeline expanse?

I think RC-20 probably covers a lot of the same ground?

that might be a little strong but still it was frustrating and just annoying….

funny thing is the antares free for 6 months via that codemeter system has been absolutely fine.
no “ your license is about to expire you need to renew it” rubbish, that incidentally i would also get from pa when i tried the mega sub…..

but i guess these other ones are on a month to month basis which seems to come around too quickly… however the ssl is free for 6 months so it should just give me 6 months without all this monthly grief….as well as intermittent license issues…

Respect and applaud your discipline and choosing to use all the great stuff you have! I am pretty much in the same position myself at the moment.

I think many of us get to this point, which is different for everyone, where you feel quite satisfied with the tools youve acquired. While temptation is always there, for me the recent splurging on reverb and a few other things has put me pretty close to where I'd like to be. At the very least I'll be very minimal with my purchases this year but wont stop participating here and enjoy seeing what you guys pickup.

Got the 20% code from Kush for signing up to the newsletter...took 2 days. It was in my Spam folder... Ended up buying the whole Tranformer bundle. Those are pretty amazing....did an experiment on a drum loop...ran TWK first which seems to accentuate the low/mid...then blended in the "N" which focuses on the mid/highs. Both in moderation..

Thought Id share that as most people probably just try single instance of them on a track....picked up the BLYSS too. Pretty happy with my purchase...
