, they were toy questions to create discussion based on your post and show the rd9 can be used as master too as it has some nice tricks, i would hope the 8s has deeper functionality tbh, it cost a lot more and is using all digi voices

no secret round here i prefer elektron method over any other i have encountered too, i could say if all operated like that it would be great but that would be one boring ass world eh

Sounds like the 909s I have used plus the Nava I have a few feet away - clearly he’s using the filter and the transient shaped too, other than that it sounds like a 909 to me.

Just an overall impression of not sounding as hard and punchy as some raw 909 demos I've heard. But I'm happy to defer to those with hands-on experience who say it's the real deal.

Probability per step is glorious. Can you select the % amount per step? I always add like 12% to the the kickdrum on the Drumbrute and it's instant groove.

The TR8S is a great machine but the sequencer is annoying. Especially the variations and how the sequencer following works. I find the Arturia sequencers much more intuitive and enjoyable to work on. Seems like Behringer has taken some inspiration from them which is great news to me. Can't wait to get mine

no idea about the manual upload date sorry. i assume very soon as the product is shipping, if you read the rd8 manual it will be the same so far as seq: is concerned, it is just the voicing and accent operations that differ.

all features found in rd8 yes

- it seems i typed it in a way that may create confusion, it has probability (global), and ratchets and random are per step , filter is per step too

I haven't sat down w/ a spectrum or anything, but to my ears sounds legit.

I think I paid a similar amount when I bought a TR-09 boutique.. Which I then immediately sold when the Behringer TR clones were announced!

It's been a bit of a wait for sure, but I'm sure will be worth it in the end. If I had told the 1994 version of me I'll have all the gear I ever dreamed of owning (and more) in 2021, I wouldn't ever believed myself

Ordered! Think I’m one of the first on Thomann that did. It was showing 3-4 weeks delivery time (now it doesn’t so I guess they sold oud quick). Don’t see an confirmation on my account page yet so hopefully it’s good.

Very excited! Going to compare with my neighbours OG when it arrives.

mine has been hammered to death, i have encountered no issues and none of the other guys have reported anything either and i doubt they have given theirs an easy time based on who they are - it is a solid release

Hard to say. But then again the tiny boutiques can remain as collectibles, no skin off my back tbh. Never did like the small UI on that one, although the sound wasn't as bad as the TR-08.

Guarantee you, though, you'll start to see all the OG TR-909s come out of the woodwork on fleabay and reverb (just like when the Pro-1 was released

The boutiqes are collectibles if good taken care and boxes included will have a certain value... but the overpriced ones will probably have a price drop coming years, I think they should stay around 250-300 euros... I have a few including the tr-09 and d-05 both bought for 200€ each, I wonder if the Se-02 will go up in the future being analog and roland has not that much real analog produced the last decade (Jd- Xi, Jd-xa)

SE-02 is the only boutique I ended up keeping. I like it quite a lot and if the form factor were slightly larger, it'd probably end up becoming a classic.

Even with VAT it's still less than what the RD8 cost at launch. It's still silly cheap for what it is.

Yeah at 3 ton inc vat it's still a mad bargain, it's a killer box

I dropped lucky with rd eight as I caught the day bax did a blowout shortly after release , think that only cost me two and half all in somehow
