The sequencer is no slouch either at that price point. Per Sweetwater page:
Quote:
Creative performance options let you set scale, direction, first/last step, and shuffle mode. Onboard memory is available for 128 sequence patterns and 16 songs β each with up to 16 parts.
This is the goofiest thing. Is it April 1st? A SE clone of a minimoog by Roland? Out of all the things not needed at this point they went with a minimoog instead of a VCO SH boutique
Just can't wait to hear it.
Studio Electronics are FAR more qualified to do Minimoog territory than Behringer. SE have been making those MidiMini's and SE-1's since forever.
EDIT: The last thing on earth I thought I would ever see was Studio Electronics' sequel to the SE-1 be a Roland collaboration. What is this timeline?
Anyone who's ever worked at a large corporation is aware of the massive lead times to bring something to market. Roland obviously saw the D and thought it was a good idea and needed it out first. They then thought of Studio Electronics who would already have the knowledge to build it, albeit in a shrunken form.
My mind boggles with all the legal, regulatory and financial work that must have gone on behind the scenes for the last several months.

Bravo Roland!
Aha, well you see, this is the SE-02. It's NOT a clone of the Minimoog (wink wink) it's a sequel to the SE-1.
