Off-topic, I wish there were somewhere to physically trade synths in SF with other sluts -- I would probably cut a lot of gear loose if I could physically hand it over in exchange for, like, a clean Matrix 6, OB8, or 101 -- Leave the stores, auctions, shippers and credit cards out of it . . . too bad we can't beam our unwanted synths through the air to each other . . .

You won't miss the Polysix. The OB6 outperforms the Polysix in every way, in sound, in the modulation matrix, in MIDI and USB connectivity. You also won't have to worry about repairs for a long time. Every time I made a major upgrade such as the one you are making, I never looked back or had regrets.

I know but still, what a sound from those discreet VCOs in the Polysix! It's probably one of the thickest, nastiest unison bases I've ever heard. Those old noisy VCAs have a definite punch and grit. The rest I can more or less nail with the OB, and whatnot. I'm pleased with the change but I know I'm giving up some stuff.

I don't know if it is just me but DSI vs. Korg just seems like that winner of special olympics meme.

I'm going to sell:
1. Roland Sonic Cell + SRX-07 becouse i don't use it
2. DSI Tetra - I love the sound, but becouse of the interface i'm using is mostly as a preset machine. Thats the reason i'm going to find something knobby.

Funds from sale I'm going to spend on DM12, Xenophone or Mopho X4 - i do not decided yet.

Followup: I wasn’t really happy with what I gave up switching to the OB-6 and sold it after a year, disappointed at how much less of a basic powerful sound it had vs cheaper vintage alternatives. I’ve gone full vintage since then, and now I have what I was looking for, couldn’t be happier really. I miss my Polysix in many regards but the Jupiter-4 really covers a lot of that sound.

I just sold off half of my PA/DJ system which felt good. I am thinking about selling my ZOOM H4n Pro. I am just not using it much. Other than that I am as trim as I can get. I actually need to buy another keyboard/synth desperately. I need a back up for my KURZ, a practice keyboard like a casio CT-X 5000 and synth like the Deepmind 12. My Akai MPC- Live needs an internal SSD and my laptop needs to be replaced with an updated version. I also need a new acoustic/electric. Ooops!!! Really OT here.

I'm just a thrill a minute:

I would like to replace the behringer 1202fx mixer I have with a cheaper behringer 1002b mixer because it has with a full channel strip for the 2 track input including gain and 3 band EQ. Which is huge for me because now I have to mute the mackies when overdubing because to get any level down the line level 2 track of the 1202fx I have to crank the monitor controller. I am hoping to amp the small signal coming out of the monitor controller plus some EQ as I use ex-29 headphones for NO LEAK but they sound like A$$

I'm trying to sell some misc studio crap to buy even more but nobody cares in bike n' ski land.
It's pretty here though.

I used to have a rule: Never sell any of my gear. But I'm running out of space. I bought two big ROMplers which currently occupy tier-1 (Montage 7) and tier-2 (Kronos 88). The Kronos is my "king" ROMpler since it has my third-party orchestral library in it (which sounds great), and this is what de-throned my Fantom G8. The G8 is now leaning against my guitar cabinets. Still thinking of keeping it for its sequencer, but THIS THING IS F'ING HUGE.

If I could wave a magic wand and turn the G8 into an Integra 7 + some $$$, I would. But the G8's play and record buttons are a little loose, so I'm sure any eBay buyer is going to whine about that despite its MINT condition. Plus, I have two of the most sought-after ARX boards in it: ARX-01 SuperNATURAL Drums, and ARX-03 SuperNATURAL Brass. I was thinking of OfferUp, but a couple was held-up at gunpoint during a transaction in my area.

Really? I got mine dirt-cheap, used (even got the online license "transferred") I love it!

Just sold the Boss DE200 and the DigiTech TSR24
Last week. Never could wrap my head around programming the TSR and since I don’t make big hair glam metal the presets were of no practical use to me.
I liked the DE200 but I have other low resolution delays so it was redundant.

Next up on the chopping block might be the Roland SH-2. Doing some soul searching here but the truth is I just don’t use it enough and have other synths that can do its one trick.

As soon as they are back from the shop:

Korg Lambda (can cover this with other synths)

Getting prepared for incoming releases or no longer need and raise some cash in the process:

Actually thinking about selling my Cirklon. My hw studio has shrunk over the years and with a QY700, Notron, Koma Komplex (and the Spectralis), the Cirklon is starting to get less and less use.

Still debating it because once it's gone, it'll be years before I'd be able to get another, but it doesn't make sense to just be sitting there basically being the master clock and sometimes doing some x0x type stuff in P3 patterns,

I finally sold my Fantom G8 ($1,350), and got a little more for it than I paid for a B-stock Integra-7 ($999) that I just got. So I guess everything worked out—it's like I turned my Fantom G into an Integra-7, plus $350 extra—actually, I turned my Fantom into an Integra-7 and a used System-1m. Not too bad.

I just shelved my Roland V-Synth GT. I just don't like its core sound for whatever reason. But so many people regret selling theirs that I'm really hesitant to sell it. Everything else, I'd just much rather just hold onto.

The SH-2 is staying. Gave it another try and it was all win.

Recently I have been conducting side-by-side tests between the Neumann KH120 and the Yamaha HS80 and finding the HS80S are just plain better sounding.
So the Neumanns are going up for sale now.

Interesting, considering the Neumanns are like 3 times the price of the Yamahas.

Do you make better mixes with the Yamahas as well? I mean, that's the only relevant thing about studio monitors, they aren't really meant to sound good, more like pinpoint and highlight potential problems of the mix.

I don't use the Tempest much, I'm not crazy about the sound and I find it hard to make sounds I like. Though I really like how fast and easy it is to make a beat. Though, I don't really appreciate it's analog sound. I prefer to use my Korg MS2000R to make "analog" sounds. Plus now I have the Digitakt and I really like it. Sampling I guess suits me better. As for the Drumstation, I've had it for 18 years and used it alot, but it seems like it takes up too much space and the Digitakt can play 808 and 909 samples.

I recently sold the Volca Sample which I really liked, but after getting the Digitakt, the Volca seemed redundant.
