Although "Sound Particles" is mainly used for sound design, specially when you want to create thousands of sound sources, it can also have other applications, like VR.
For those working with VR Audio, I've just created a new tutorial regarding the use of Sound Particles to positioning sounds in 360º VR video files.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSb8HRG47TA
In this tutorial, you can see how to use Sound Particles to position sounds for VR applications - simply place the sound on top of the image of a 360 video, and you can even use keyframe animation to track and move sounds around, with a pixel-based accuracy.
Add and animate as many sound sources as you like, and simply choose your output format (Ambisonics up to 6th order, any multichannel format, etc.).
Also, the new versions (v.1.1) includes several new features, including 30 project templates, with an audio/video preview.
