It's amazing how fast you can get a good mix with this plug. A fun combo on the master is parallel and pusher.

I can imagine they would be. Conceptually, they are rather similar.

I've only tried (and bought) IMPusher. I think it's pretty amazing, as a quick and dirty alternative to proper mastering. Not a real substitute, of course, but it can get you into the ballpark without having to load a whole bunch of plugins.

Interesting, on Parallel Particles having a global mix knob would be double parallel processing. Never tried that before.

There's been a few lately that don't have them...

Waves Greg Wells' stuff, mushroom, parallel pusher... IK's awesome x saturator, the Lurssen console (I kinda get not having one there)

Sounds good.

On the video, Andrew mentioned that it doesn't do anything to your audio if nothing is highlighted. That's not true. Sounds like it's going through some type of Saturation thing or something that softens up the audio peaks.

Plugin sounds good to me, bought it.

Anyone have a negative experience with the cumulative effect of the process? For example if you use "Thick" or "Sub" on your Drum bus, Bass, and guitars that needed help, does it get out of control when added all together?

Without going to much into it.

I honestly think just putting it on a track and pushing up the input is enough.

Tip:1
The compression/saturation alone for this plugin is stellar.
If you are peaking on your channel @ say -6db before you put the plugin on, once you do put it on, push the input up which will pull the output down which is fine. Push it till you hear thinning, then pull it back a db or 2.
Then unlink the input and output and raise the output to where your peak was before you put the plugin on.
Instant smile factor.

By the way, the M/S mode is what's making this plugin so cpu heavy.

Tip 2:
To get around this if in Pro Tools and don't need M/S mode but want to use more of this plugin, use it in "Multi-Mode".
It will only use half the cpu.
This goes for all the new Waves M/S plugins.

I have found that when using it , the bottom of my kikc all seem to start sounding the same , is there some synthetic freq also in lows ?

how would you compare it to IMPusher + other all in one examples, i have soundtoys bundle, isnt this already replacing scheps parallel + maybe NI Supercharger GT?

To me this just seems like a parallel saturation plugin? One knob for each band. In any case, I got it for 29 bucks and the tone is nice. I like the air band especially.

Parallel Particles is not a straight parallel saturation. There is a video where Andrew explains what each knob actually does.
