Your screenshot would suggest you are rendering events and not the whole track. If you render the track (no event selected) do you see the disable option?

I have one that is in Ableton and as I feel it one of the great possibilities in the digital world;

UNDO for EVERYTHING!!!!

When I touch a wrong fader; I just want to ctrl-z/cmd-z it and it goes right back where it was. Ableton can do this, it even can do this for the parameteres of 3rd party plugins!!!

Scalable plugin GUIs like Logic has.

The reason is.......Nuage and all the other controller hardware Yamaha has planned. I think Avid and Yamaha/SB will be slow to implement touch for the simple reason that multitouch will be serious competition for their hardware controllers at a much cheaper price. Also, it is not a simple modification. Once you open that can of worms up, it becomes a very big job to implement multitouch correctly on a complex application like Cubendo.

Yeah i've just moved from Live and the lack of a undo for everything in Cubase can be a real pain.

My workaround is autobackup every minute, so if something goes really wrong I can at least revert.

Yeah this is crazy...I've had to reload past projects to dial in exact mixer settings. I have auto-save set at 1min partially for this reason.

Sometimes during a long session I'll feel like I MIGHT have accidentally clicked/adjusted a mixer setting, but am not even sure. CTRL+Z of course does not help me see if I did or not.

This would be a huge benefit - something similar to Logic and PT, where you can choose exactly what you want to import from another session without opening the session itself.

We (from old and new Nuendo forum) have been asking for a proper "Import Session Data" (aka PT way) for YEARS.
This is reported coming in Nuendo 7 some time ago, but they may have "forgotten". If it is true, and Cubase is left without........ there will be screaming.

PS. And please give us the same VCA system in Cubase as in the upcoming Nuendo 7. In Nuendo 7 the VCA faders/groups are said to be completely seperated form the excisting linking/grouping feature (as should have been soooo obviously from the get go ).

I remember watching a video with Charles Dye and he was using Pro Tools HD.

He used this feature in Pro tools called "FX Template" were he imported a pre-configured set of FX (reverbs, delays, etc etc)
and I thought I wish Cubase could do that.

I thought you can save the channel strip for that? Even though I couldn't get it to work.

Set up your FX channels as you want them.
File\Export\Selected tracks and name it how you like.
In new projects use File\Import\Track Archive to load them

Note that you can create many options within the one archive (just make sure the track names mean something to you) and you can just tick those you want to load on import.

Nothing we have in Cubase/Nuendo comes close to the "Import Session Data" feature set of Pro Tools.

So this is a very valid Feature Request (tired of workarounds, as so many others).

PS. If you have not seen it/used it, please Google it for some videos.
It is actually one key point to be able to send projects around the world, and one of the reasons PT is the industry leader.

Saving edited and trimmed down samples from Cubase arrangement window to disk by dragging them into media bay location.

1. The fullscreen mixer back please, at least as an option
2. Usermade trackpresets, it should be able to include send efxs as well, not only inserts, eq, volume etc.
3. Change the trackorder in the mixer

Could it be a simpler way of activating multiple tracks, but not all, on Virtual instruments, for example - if i dont want to activate all outputs in superior drummer but only want 7 outputs, I need to right click activate 1, right click activate 2, right click 3 etc, etc. Maybe theres a better way already? Checkboxes?
5. A simpler way to change color in the colorsettings
6. A keycommand for the analyzingbutton in variaudio
7. Remember the solosetting in editorwindow

Definately full undo in the mixer.

Cubase is really obviously lacking this feature.

But it's far more important for me that I have a scalable mixer - in Cubase we have this. I think Cubase is the only daw on the market with this great and powerful feature.

@ iBM : Reaper (or should I say Repair..?) is a joke in midi and so many people really hates the whole fuss at all settings: on R´ you´re more a technician than a creative.

BTW: Reaper has no business here, we are talking only about Cubase !
