I have an audio track with multiple takes and I want to make a composite audio track out of them. Numerous instructional videos can be found on YT which all start with clicking the "show lanes" button (three squares in a horizontal line) on the track control; it's the last one in the line, after the automation "R" and "W"..

But my track control doesn't have that button and i can find no menu-driven way of expanding the takes into lanes. (See attached screenshot). There's no "comp" tool either.

I searched to see if this feature is not present in Elements but the only hits I found said that that it was.

What am I missing?

I don’t have elements. But in Pro theres’s a setting controlling which elements to shower for each track type. That can be reached by right clicking on the track (I think).

No Lanes in project window or Comp in Elements.
