Mac Alternative to Adobe Audition (Standalone Audio Editing)
Guys, I really want to dump Creative Cloud and would like an alternative to Audition. What would you recommend as a replacement? I really miss Sound Forge. Paid or free is fine, I'd just like to get away from all these subscription services.

Thank you. Did not know about this so I'll download the demo and see if it works for me. Don't need anything fancy, it just needs to support VSTs and work exporting MP3.
I am really into Audition but it's $400 AUD *per year*, and that's with a 33% discount.
Is that just a new level of insatiable greed for a single audio app? Does anyone here actually pay those prices? It feels insane to me, and also a shame, as I really "gel" with audition and I just don't with Wavelab.
What other audio editors on Mac do peeps use around here? I have twisted wave and for quick editing it's actually quite good, but the way the FX master chain is set up is less than ideal.
