Yes. But can't you sort of do this in Logic by switching to the parameters-only display that gets rid of the GUI? I think you're right that they should have both views in the plug-in itself. And the numbers could be easier to read.

yes it is a very nice EQ. However i think UAD Massive Passive is better

After working with this some more, I've decided to skip it. I think it works very well for acoustic instruments when you want things to sound super transparent. But after trying it on many other instruments, I found it wasn't flattering most of them. It seems a little like a one-trick pony. I have other EQs that will come close enough in this area, that I can't justify the expense.

And when I put it up against the UAD Manley Massive Passive on the master buss, I definitely prefer the Massive Passive.

I really like this EQ, I have tryed the demo, but what I really want to know is, if there is a way to copy the settings from one setting-button to another ? This questiion is for all spl plugs. The setting ABCD buttons are very comfortable, but for compare A and B with only a few changes it is hard to rebuild the settings ... you know what I mean ?

If you're on Pro Tools it's easy Shift-command-C to copy and shift-command-V to paste the settings . Don't know how other platforms handle this .

Nope...that does not copy between the ABCD banks.
That copies the entire plug in setting...for all banks.

Pro Tools capture mode allows you to write all the automation enabled parameters you have modified to a buffer so you can save it as a snapshot or punch it somewhere else. Useful feature.

I have to say leonardo that since using the Fairman TMEQ at work (which is like a dream over all bands, not only mid), I'm still looking for a plugin that shines in the mid regions. I mostly use the transparent Flux Epure at the moment and I quite happy with it, but once in a while something with some more color for the mids would be nice!

Maybe the new portico software eq will shine in the mids and have charakter. Neve for the mids and spl for the lows and highs

I notice SPL is having a 25% off sale for about week on the Passeq plug-in. Anyone still diggin' this?... better than other EQs you have? I'm demoing it and really like it. However, I'm not totally convinced, yet, it's doing anything any better than some of my other EQs. It is fun twisting the knobs to tweak on sounds, though... and getting some very good sounds.

its a different flavour and sometimes nothing beats it, other times its not the one I choose...you be the judge how and when you will use it, but I do think its got a nice smooth top end, not too wild about the mid control though

As currently I don't have access to my main pc, out of boredom I decided to give it a shot again on my laptop.

Using vst analyzer I decided to change the default settings and liked it more. Work my way by adding then decreasing freq.s, finally fine tuneing.

After it either I want a low-cut, tilt sort of eq for adding highs or dynamic eq/mb expander around 3k to add more life.

I guess because of laptop speakers I make it too fat-muddy for mastering, then decide to thin out when further comparing to original mix. I'm curious of how it will work when I try it on my main system.

I jumped the gun at the very last moment and I'm happy with my choice.
This plugin changed the way I work with EQ. Not surgical but always very musical. I actually do put it on all the stereo busses from each group of instruments just to give them more room in the mix.
It's been the first EQ I really love.

Just tried this and was super impressed my the smoothness and air of the high frequency boost on this thing. One of the best software eqs I've ever tried for adding air. Really, really nice work.

How are people liking this nowadays? Is it mostly used for mastering or is someone mixing with it? Any competitors in native plugins?

How can an EQ have a nice hi-end? Your only boosting what was already in the material, smooth material, smooth boost, harsh material harsh boost.

I am not denying it, but I don't understand how the EQ itself makes the difference.

I've demoed, it does things that I can't replicate with my sonalksis. Though I wish I could.

I ended up getting it as a part of the summer sale. It's unlike any other EQ I have and I was lacking a "mastering EQ". I was just demoing various plugin alliance products after getting interested in their compressors and passeq ended up being sort of the eq I didn't know I needed .

It's great for master bus, you can very easily glue the mids, open up the highs and beef up the bass. The highs are very strange tho, sometimes it feels as if nothing happens when you turn the knob, but sometimes it opens up very discreetly. I'd almost say the highs are the weakest point for my use. So far I'm most impressed by the mids and bass.

The m/s possibility is nice, but I need to look more into it.

Actually it's the only EQ I've used in the last few tunes, even on instruments. I guess that's pretty normal with new gear. Time will tell if it really sticks with me, but I'm pretty sure it will stay in the master bus for a while.

very interesting I liked the highs but the mids were to weak (character wise) for me on individual tracks, but that might be good for mastering. Let us know what you think of the eq after 3-4 weeks of usage
