We’re currently working on a Mastering plug-in that incorporates and builds upon the tonal balance preset systems present in MIXROOM and BASSROOM. Alongside this we’re creating a tonal balance channel strip that covers the full frequency spectrum and intercommunicates between the most important channels in your mix to help you set the ideal tonal balance, volume level, mid-side relationship and possibly some other parameters. This new plugin will be like a MIXROOM and BASSROOM combo on steroids.
Alongside this, we will also incorporate our new technology and better workflows to create MIXROOM 2 and BASSROOM 2.
(We’re also working on STEREOROOM, and a very fun EQ ear training application which we will give freely to people subscribed to our mailing list).
Our small but extremely smart team are working hard to bring you all of this in 2025.
Ps. You can lock the frequency of a node in RESO by holding control whilst you move it.
Cool, look forward to the upgrades coming to Mixroom/Bassroom!
I explained the issue with Reso the way it currently works around 2 years ago with you...
We trust Reso to find the resonances, and it finds the frequencies, but then if you accidentally move a frequency (which is very easy to do), you have to do the entire analysis and setup again from scratch to get back to where you were, as there is not even an undo!
It needs undo desperately, but also, as I mentioned previously, the frequencies should be locked BY DEFAULT after the analysis is done, then allow the frequencies to be moved with the modifier key. The entire reason to use this plugin is to get it to analyse resonances. They should not be easily moveable by mistake. Please lock them.
This resonance control plugin realm has become packed and I stopped using Reso because of this ease of use issue. It should be easy and not frustrating. I'm hoping it becomes more useable in an update. We talked about it years ago though, so Reso has gone to the unused pile in the meantime unfortunately.
Cheers!
