Hello fellow slutz.

After moving out of my ex studio I'm in the need of setting up at least a mix room and the only space available is my bed room at my rather small flat.

It is very small but that's it so I must make it good and make it work.

Room Space:
4.20 meters long
2.80 meters wide
2.30 meters height

Rectangle shaped. Clean space.

I got rid of the closet and old carpet and I've put laminated floor on it.

I'm meeting with the guys that measured, calculated and built my ex studio acoustic treatment to get this done.

Thank god I'll re use lots of material, panels and diffusers so the spend won't go that crazy all over again.

This small room must have a lot of treatment and the mojo to be creative and inspired in it despite the lack of space.

The diary starts today. Wish me luck you guys. I'm going to need it.

I lost quite a few bucks getting out the other studio so I need cash to re settle again and I had to sell a few things.

I'm changing the whole configuration so I got rid of the toft because of the space and installation issues. I'll go the ITB plus summing box way. I really hope it works.

This is today's update. Basically day 1

Front wall almost done. Corners and bass traps done. Window gone.

Great day one

Today the setup continued. We encounter some problems adapting the angled panels on the new room. Keep in mind that most of these panels were made for y prior studio (which its built thread is also on this forum) and we are recycling them so the costs won't go bananas all over again.

I apologize for the poor lighting. As we advance on the black fabrics and not having the final lights on, It looks rather dark. It does is a tiny room.

The Mix Room is coming along slowly but nicely. One wall is done. Another is close to be. I'm just waiting for the electric wiring guy to show up to do some wiring.

We putt the back wall diffuser and extra bass trap to figure out where the absorber panels would be placed.

I'm working on the light design to have a nice and warm environment inside the room.

So far so good. The side walls are done. The electric wiring and grounding is set and ready to be connected.

Next episode will be about the back wall. The front wall diffuser. And ceiling panels.

Meanwhile here is how it goes.

Back wall done.

And I started to bring stuff into the room. The couch. The rack.

There are quite a few things to be done yet. But we are getting closer.

The love couch is in. So are the toys. I put everything on the rack but it is not wired yet. I need to sort the new edac patchbays out. Wire everything to them. Eeek. Wanna help?

The ceiling panels are been made. In the mean time, wiring day. My goodness.

It's close to be done, a few extra panels, one extra basstrap and the proper lightning and that's it... but now the electrician has gone invisible, I can't find him dammit... anyway, I need to finish the wiring, I need extra crimp pins for the EDAC pathbays, I hope I'll get em today.

Everybody is on vacation. Dammit. Not news now. Only a pic.

The mixer furniture is not ready yet. Nor the lights. And extra panels are also delayed. Bummer!

No signs from the light guy. Crap!!

All the wiring and studio configuration is done. It was the hell of a job to solder and put together the EDAC patchbays but all worked out perfectly. I'm so thrilled.

We are now about 80% in. Closer to be done. Hell yeah!

The room is sounding pretty darn good actually.

Today I'm doing a test mix.

No se de cuál es. Le pregunto al studio builder y te respondo eso en unos días. Usamos fibra amarilla más densa que la rosa y por supuesto rosa. Para distintas cosas.

Sip. Uso ns10's

La amarilla se hace parecer al Owens Corning 703 (no se si es igual en Mexico) Es mas densa y absorbe las frequencias altas mejor que la rosa. La rosa absorbe mejor el bajo (si es r-30). Te pregunto porque conozco a alquien que quiere tener un cuarto para grabar y mezclar en Tijuana y esto me va ayudar.

Y los NS-10 con cual amplificador?
