Small request for the next update: could the 'SC Freq' parameter for each band track the main frequency value when disabled/hidden?

My main use for this parameter is to have different Q values for the processing and sidechain bands at exactly the same frequency. It's not a big deal to type it again, but it kind of breaks the flow

In the meantime, there is a work-around. When first enabling SC, the freq is wrong. Click two times (off and on again) and voila.

Edit : it rang a bell and... we had the exact same interaction last year, in this topic

Oh damn, you're absolutely right!
I haven't got used to the double-click workaround yet, but I promise I'll get it right this time and not ask the same question in 2025

been using smart op dynamic resonance mode lately on electric guitars, letting it filter between 600-6000hz. works wonders! resonance free tracks! no need for soothe.

I use Nova GE on literally every session (for over 5 years now) and I do love it (smart ops are amazing) but Soothe it is not.

Nova GE is like going to the gym and getting yourself nicely firmed up and in shape while Soothe is like going to a surgeon and they get out a scalpel when you want to remove the bags from under your eyes without showing any signs.

Note: I don't go to the gym (swimmer here) and I'd never go to a plastic surgeon but you get the idea!

Both are simply excellent tools!

yeah true. but i don‘t want to spend 199€ on soothe and the tracks i work with are not so full of resonances. nothing nova ge can‘t handle.

Here is a preset that tames overpowering drums with long decay by turning them into softer and shorter drums with a rounder edge (think muffled / dampened drums with tea towels). Based on TDR Labs own "Drum Gate" preset, but with a longer attack and shorter release time. You just have to adjust the treshold and it should work just fine.

Click anywhere on the UI which is not interactive, and basic copy/paste functions works. (ctrl/cmd + c/v)
- You copied a preset from a forum ? click on an instance and ctrl/cmd + v
- You want to share your favorite preset on the forum ? click on an instance and ctrl/cmd + c

I use that sooo much in my workflow, when copy/paste presets between sub-projects, tracks, montages that I just can't believe that all other devs didn't steal the idea. Please do !

Sorry, yes right click for contextual menu,
left click to just silently select the instance, and copy/paste shortcuts work.
