Although I share your point of you and it's damn true that with technology, plugins developer today compare to just 5 years ago have evolved in a way that it's dead scary and amazing for us but I don't believe at all that this will kill the hardware aficionados of real hardware mojo. Just take a look how many new hardware or small developers that we've seen have created their own hardware companies from WA to Stam etc.. etc... that are bringing us classic new HW with amazing features that we wouldn't have thought about it 30 years ago etc... and users, Pro to semi-pro to season or bedroom musicans or producer to engineer are buying and they are selling like hot cakes and their products are soncally stellar....
And yes and we're also glad to see major companies like SSL who have shaped the sonic music world we're living that are embracing and bringing or collaborating and developing their amazing classic signature hardware into the digital world.
I think thats the way to go, that is the future, open the horizons, embrace technology and be part of its evolution. Just imagine if SSL would partner on a specific HW console of their with Acustica audio.. ayayayayi caramba. Just imagine ;-)
And i'm very glad that SSL been working in alliance with Brainworx to develop some of their console series because Brainworx as we know are one of the best in industry period.
And I also hope that SSL will also bring some their consoles HW emulation ported in their Native series plugins they've released lately. Maybe "SSL Consoles Series" by SSL??? Who knows
Possibilities are endless. Hardware ain't dying, we're just in the Hybrid era and I think it will evolve amazingly
What a great time to be alive & make music

We're very blessed
