I’m having this weird problem... I think it first cropped up in October of last year. Devices that normally worked without a hitch before, now seemly disappeared to my computer. It’s like wack-a-mole. They all could work for a bit, then one would stop, a few would stop. I thought it might be a hub that was going bad, so I put a new hub on and everything was fine and dandy, and then today my Prophet 6 wouldn’t work. The Soundtower editor can clearly see it. I select it as in and out and it still shows to be “Off Line.” My MOTU MIDI Express isn’t working right either... I have no idea what else is broken, I didn’t go though it all. What I do know, is that Windows updated and before that it was fine.

Any ideas? I keep thinking that I’ve fixed it, and I think I’m not really fixing it... it just keeps happening. Another clue is that the Soundtower editor also asked me for my registration number after a restart, for some odd reason. It’s got to be the Windows update, but how do I fix what it’s doing? I go online only to download updates and register stuff, so I like to keep Windows updated as well, I guess for security reasons, but this sh!t has got to stop.
