Hi everyone,

I would like to purchase new studio monitors for my home studio.
I bought a pair of Fluid Audio FX8 recently, but I had to send them back cause of very high background noise.. so I decided to extend my budget a bit.

Now I'd have to choose among 4 possibilities:

• ADAM AUDIO T7V
• YAMAHA HS7
• ADAM AUDIO A7X (used)
• EVE AUDIO SC207 (used)

I had the chance to listen to the pair of A7X and I loved the sound and the imaging. Tomorrow I will probably check out the EVEs. But I would have no chance of listening to the HS7 and T7V before purchase.

Assuming the used pairs are in very good condition do you have any advice or opinions regarding the monitors I can't listen to?

I recently bought the T7Vs and I really like them for the price and paired with a subwoofer. At the same time, I treated the CRAP out of my room and am hearing things a lot better. I only compared them to the A7x models in Guitar Center and wasn't blown away by any differences between the two. For the price (and if you can get GC to match the Gear4music.com $341/pair price like I did), give them a shot and send them back if you don't like them.

I've read some really positive review of the EVEs, though, they seem to be in a different class?

Thanks for the advice! I think the EVEs are in the same price class of the A7X, and they've been getting really good reviews. But if you didn't really hear a difference between the A7X and the T7V, maybe they're really worth checking out given the price difference..

There was a difference - I just don't know if one was "better" than the other, you know? They both sounded good!

that is amazing that Guitar Center priced matched with a UK based company.

I have owned the the eve audio's and they are amazing! just make sure you have enough space for them at the back otherwise I would get the Adam A7x so you do not get upgraditis.

Hi i heard that the backbround noise of the fx8 has been solved on the latest versions, anyone can confirm that ?

Check out the Eves since I feel like they are superior to the a7x.
I used the adams before and I got the impression that the Eves were a major update when it comes to clarity/stereo imaging.
They translate insanley good to lots of setups.
The tweeter on the Eves is just so much more gentle and not as harsh or over represented.
