You don't say what you are going to use it for!
Mics are very personal pieces of equipment, at the price you mention ($600), you are right in the range of a used AKG C414B-ULS, a new Audio Technica 3060/or discounted 4050, new Rode NT2000, new CAD M9. The UMT 70S is quite a "toppy" mic, a very clear sound, but it wouldn't be my first choice for an "earthy" or rock vocalist. I think a used AKG C414 is the best "all round workhorse" mic of the above listed, but I've heard good results on vocals from the CADs. The AT 4050 is probably less cold sounding than the UMT, but the UMT would give a really "upmarket" quality sound on an acoustic guitar, vibraphone, marimba ... maybe make a dull 'ol Yamaha baby grand piano really shine.
I would try and check it out on your chosen instrument alongside some other mics.
