Anyone who has shot out or used both BAE options?

BAE 1073D VS 1073MPL>BAE 73EQL

The 2 space options is attractive VS 3 space but I have not had the opportunity to compare them

I've already expressed my thoughts in the other thread..
I don't suggest the single slot bae.

You might want to look into an Avedis MA5 (which is terrific and one of the very best preamps you could buy in the 500 series), or the SCA N72 if you want to stay in that type of sound in 1 slot (I only tried their modular smaller format, not the 500 series modules they also do now, but given the quality in their own system I'd be inclined to think that their 500 series might be also pretty good..at least I'd give them the benefit of the doubt).

1073D is good, but it's 3 slot and for my taste is a bit too much (not a very efficient use of that space).. but afterall if you want the real deal, eq and hpf like in the original modules, that's the space you need in the 500 series.

test things in your place, this is the best thing you could do.
