If you play Chords and the Velocity is higher than 55% the volume dips to a lower volume and stays at that volume.

If you then release the notes but keep 1 note Held without releasing it you hear the Volume slowly creeps up again almost like it has a Compressor or limiter with the attack set to max.

You hear it best if you go into menu in the latest firmware and disable velocity.

This problem makes it unplayable to me since i have to set the Velocity to Max 55% in my daw and raise the input volume which introduces More unwanted noise.

If it didn't have this problem I would be a happy Camper since it sounds great as a Cheap small unit.

Keybed felt like I was playing a bowl of oatmeal. After a while, all the black keys failed. It went out with that week's trash. One of those guys who cruises around the neighborhood in his pickup truck on trash day looking for treasure snagged it out of my can (it was peeking out the top).

Poor soul.

The Komplete Kontrol S88 MK2...

The integration with the plugin was horrible. As if they abandoned the software as quick as possible with a whole lot of issues. (not sure if they fixed anything or just corrected it so it behaves properly with their newer range)

The coloured screens looked useful, but had not much use without the horrible NI Komplete Kontrol software, which I tried to stay away from.
So no use at all...

My sustain pedal also resetted after a certain amount of time so I had to recalibrate my sustain pedal once in a while...
And it took time to do. Again with that Komplete Kontrol software...

Key action was a heavy piano action, like playing a piano made for a fitness club.

I'm not sure how the MK3's did, but after this I was kind of done with Native instruments...

I still have a lot of their controllers lying around. (MK3/Jam/Traktor S4MK2)
Maybe useful again one day?

I remember seeing a shop soiled AX73 (6 octave keyboard version) in my local independent music shop. It was going for a seriously good price at the time. Yes it has controller features. However if you just want the controller with the joystick then find a Novation Remote 25 LE. It's the same shell without the synth.
