Yamaha RM1X as main Sequenzer.
Midi out to Yamaha QY100 and to Volca FM,
than the Audio Analog out from Volca back in the guitar in of the QY100 and apply some Overdrive and Flanger .

Works great !!

True Cuckoo!

My first introduction to this man came about 2 years ago while looking up tutorial videos for the original Volca FM on youtube. I clearly recall a still shot with this lovely river and hills further off in the distance...

Then this weird hippie guy steps into frame saying he's cuckoo and this might kinda sound weird, but... the entire room suddenly smelled like weed.

After realizing that I was watching some stoned guy pressing random buttons and turning knobs without really knowing what to expect, I closed my laptop and turned on the Volca FM figuring it made more sense if I just did the same thing.

I've watched a zillion tutorials videos since and the only thing thing I envy a little is that these guys get so much free gear for putting them out. They basically are advertising for the company which is why I'm also a bit more distrustful now toward reviewers when they claim everything they look at is awesome because they are supposed to say that.

Anyway, instead of talking shit you should buy a T-shirt or some patches instead.

I have a Volca FM 2 in the mail to me.

Can anyone tell me if it's mono or stereo?

I realise it has a stereo headphone jack output, but does it actually have a true stereo signal (ie from the chorus and reverb effects), or is it 2x identical mono signals output through a headphone jack to make it easier for consumers to connect it up?

I'm currently rebuilding my studio. I don't want to allocate 2x analog inputs to this device if it only needs 1x.

From listening to the demos on YouTube, it definitely sounds like the reverb and chorus are in stereo. Yes, the synth tones are mono but the effects are stereo.
