The additional logos at startup seem to be just branding, not an advert per se. It's not like a pop-up you have to click to close or some spammy call-to-action. I dare say these strategic partnerships are a good thing. They probably helped push 404MK2 development, justifying additional midi and audio features. For instance the control knobs sending midi CC, the multiple midi pad modes, etc.
I could be wrong, but wasn’t there a feature where you could load your own graphic for startup in the previous versions? Maybe grab the startup file from the previous version somehow and replace the new one? I’m just spitballing - I’m on vacation away from my 404 right now….

Yeah I'm assuming Roland changed the default startup bmp files. If someone was really, really annoyed by the additional logos, they could create their own custom startup or maybe snag the original Roland ones from somewhere. But who are we kidding? Most of the folks that complain about Roland quirks won't put in the effort. It's easier to just be lazy and moan on a forum.

Who are we kidding, most of the folks passing judgement on other users are too lazy to explain how to add custom startup screens and just assume it's super easy.
Come on guys, be pro-active.
I still think it's annoying, because it has to be done per project. I feel complaining about Roland putting up corporate logos on your startup screen is valid and nobody should be judged for it.

Yes, I'm totally passing judgement on anyone too lazy to google something and click the video that gives step-by-step instructions. I'm pretty sure it's the first search result btw. Do you also want me to drive over and do it for them?
I think my post history on here shows I'm pretty helpful to folks, but if it seems someone is just looking for something to moan about for the sake of moaning...they're on their own.

Well, I saved a Google search for others, while you just moaned. I hope you see the irony.
"I feel that those moaning about others who are complaining about those who are posting a solution for those who are too lazy to look up a solution for those who don't perceive a problem to be there in the first place because they RTFM even though Roland may have introduced a few bugs with their update that only affects those that perceive this to be a problem should most definitely . .
Maybe someone should start a 3rd-party support service for music gear. Pay them $$$ amount per year or per issue, and someone will google and read the manual for you...no matter how trivial the problem.
