I recently pick up one of these second hand and realised after a few weeks the resonance knob does not do anything… is that a feature or a bug with my unit?

I watched a few YouTube vids and couldn’t find a single example of anyone tweaking the resonance knob

Hi, there is some sort of scaling setting for resonance ,
try menu "3 VCF VEL" .

This is from the user manual:

3 VCF VEL
This menu adjusts the effect velocity data of an attached keyboard
take on the filter frequency, resp. the CUTOFF parameter and the
calibration of the filter's resonance.
• Use SEL control to open menu 3. VCF will be temp. displayed
• The display shows the current value, e.g. 095
• Use VALUE control to set a value between 000 and l27
• Use SEL control to open menu 3. VCF will be temp. displayed
• Press SHIFT button. The display will temporarily show rES
• The display shows the current value, e.g. l00
• Use VALUE control to set a value between 000 and l27

I own both. In the beginning MFB for sure thought they were doing a samall "club" version of the Dom 1, and maybe their technical concepts were the same to start from, but finally the Dom Club ended up as an indeed very different (sounding) synth.

I've had my dominion club since its release, and just found out that the rate pot hasnt been soldered at all. I was always thinking it was just the quirkiness of the machine.. Now i got a working lfo1, yey!
But i have one more question, hopefully somebody can help me:

I am not able to sync the lfos to midi properly, when sending midi notes to the dominion. I don't want to use the arp and internal sequencer. The dominion doesn't receive midi clock upon boot. Only when i press START/STOP once, the clock is received. but then i can't disable the arp or sequencer... really weird machine.

Since I stopped using the Dominion Club due to instability, I am obsessed with the sound of its (resonant) notch filter mode. Has anybody an idea what comes close to this soundwise? I never came across something similar since.. and it's killing me ������

Avoided death by lack of notch filter narrowly by finding a satisfactory replacement in the variable steiner parker filter of the Polybrute at 50% mark between low and hi pass. for anyone suffering the same symtoms and is ok to upgrade from a matchbox sized device to a coffin sized one - you're welcome :-D
