Hi, (First message on here so be nice

)
I have been looking for a 16-channel analogue line/instrument amplifier for my studio to feed analogue/vintage synths and drum machines into a Presonus 4848 that is being clocked by a Lynx Hilo.
The idea is to have 32 in/32 out direct to and from the DAW.
I cannot find a good solution for this.
Weeks go past and I bought a DBX tr1616 to just use in analogue passthrough mode (in-pre-output channel). All seems well until the internal (noisy) fan kicks in.
Does anyone know if I unplug the internal 2" fan that seems to be just pointing at the digital A-D section and processor/ethernet port (that I am not using)? With this damage the unit? will it even run?
Does anyone know an alternate piece of gear that is not a mixer with direct outs?
OR a Rack Di unit that costs $1500 for only 8 channels.. (needing 32 in total)
OR a Di rack unit that has front inputs for cables, (wanting rear cabling only)
Asking a lot I know.
Any suggestions?
Appreciate the time to reply.
