Hi all,

I have M-Audio BX5s and they are great cheap monitors but when nothing is playing there is hum and a hiss which really annoys men it's not associated with volume or leads it's just the noise when switched on. Seems like they have a reputation of this after a little research. I guess cheap power supply/or amp.


So that said I was looking to get another pair of something good but budget friendly. Can anyone tell me if the Adam T5V hum/hiss when nothing playing? any noise at all when idle? also the Mackie CR5-XBT look great?

My pair of adam audio t5v monitors does hiss and it is quite noticeable without plugging into the audio interface. I am considering how to fix it. Not sure if it is a ground loop issue.

Been without hiss for some 5 years now
