Remote control editor. No workie for me!

So the remote control editor does not work in cubase 7.5 (FOR ME)
I sold my m audio projectmix because I thought it uncompilable.
Purchased AKAI LPD8 with knobs.

I use the Remote control editor and press learn in an incert.
I see the midi data when the knob is moved but "Apply" never activates.

I see the midi device is installed.

hmm, I also read the tutorial on steinberg forum.

All I ever wanted to do was control my Waves API plugin.

Akai Product do not work with the Remote control editor.

I bought a Behringer BFC2000. It has 8 motorized faders and 8 knobs.
Unlimited tracks....
$200 USD

Sold My Akai MPD32 the next day....

I got an Axiom pro, not time to work with it yet.
Assuming the hypercontrol will automate and trigger pads?

Or is the editor in cubase better?
