Greetings. I'm the drummer in a three-piece band. We play small clubs that don't have lights and outdoor spaces where it sure gets dark after the sun goes down. I just bought two Eliminator Lighting Mini Par Bars with four light fixtures on each stand. They are blindingly bright out of the box. I think I need a DMX controller to tame them. We don't need any fancy effects, just some nice washes, maybe the occasional blinking and fades. Is there a DMX controller for about 100 bucks that would allow me to do that? Would it control both lighting units, i.e., all eight lights? Thanks in advance.

Try positioning them so they do more of a side wash and you're not looking directly into the lights.


An Americal DJ Operator or Chauvet Obey 40 would do it, don't buy a cheap chinese copy of one of these controllers.. they have some programming quirks that make them frustrating to use.
