So I'm a big fan of early DJ Paul productions (producer for Three Six Mafia) and I noticed that he was using a lot of W30 stock sounds such as the e-piano, synth bass, and especially the drums section. These sounds are so weirdly unique, yet i couldn't find any sample packs whatsoever of its stock sounds. It seems people are much more focused on it's sampling capabilities whenever talking about it.
Here's some examples of songs that prominently use W30 sounds:

MC Wicked - Blast Yo Ass

From my knowledge these sounds come directly from the ROM startup disk. I tried running the ROM disk file through Awave Studio and also Chicken Systems Translator but I got nothing. Only disks I could decompile were separately released data disks (which have none of the sounds I'm looking for right now).

So I'm requesting HQ wav samples of some, if not all Roland W30 stock ROM sounds (or just the unedited voices used for them if you can get that.) If anyone has a W30 with a working startup disk, please contribute!

I do not recall any inbuilt sounds on the W30 it was a pure sampler, made quite a few records with it.

I remember being impressed that Akai at least had a sine wav on startup.

The library was the standard Roland 7xx series stuff. We went to their offices for a few days and copied it all onto floppy disc! try explaining that to young people.

So I'm guessing your after the generic library. I know it was on a site about 10 years ago somewhere and I see the original floppies on eBay.

Best bet might to find someone who has one and a good portion of library. Not sure how you would open those files in the modern day...
