I don't want to use a dynamic mic because I don't want it in the video, I'm trying to sell products so I want my audio to sound decent for youtube without the Mic beeing in the way.

My 3 mics I have in mine to buy are the mke 600 which at top of my budget but I don't want to spend that much. Other 2 mics which are affordable apex197 but there's no reviews for it on YouTube or any where. Next is the at897r which is better for my budget but don't know how professional it will sound.

Any suggestions, the way my room is I'm unable to sound treat it proper but I do have those cheap studio foams from amazon on the wall

Unless you have a boom and operator aiming the mic and keeping it as close as possible without being in shot a shotgun is the wrong solution.

You would probably be better off with one of the wireless systems aimed at this kind of market from a company like Rode which means you can wear the mic.

Thanks for the comment, let me shed some more light. I will be using a babyface pro fs as the interface into the computer so that should give it a clean signal. So I want an xlr output mi c. Honest I hate those clip on mics their uncomfortable, and most of them you'll have to plug it into the dslr camera not the interface. Shotgun mics just fits my set up perfect.

Anther reason I don't want that wireless clip on is because my interface allows me to how the vocals eq'd when I'm doing live streams

Acoustic treatment is what you need first, no microphone will give you a good sound when the acoustics are not good.

A shotgun mic in a reverberant room will sound bad, no matter which audio interface you have.

Shotguns are not really suitable for rooms, unless your clearing a house.

Normally I put an x/y config at the knee height pointing up at the presenter and below the camera frame.

If you cant do that, stick some mics on the ceiling above out of shot.

Or just do it all in post (ADR) like every film does.

Schoeps MiniCMIT. But, given a low ceiling height and/or other potential reflections, maybe better with a Schoeps MK 41 + CMC 1 (L). I’ve used both the Schoeps MK 41 and MiniCMIT for years. They are superior to all others in performance and extent.

You have reminded me that there was mini Rode shotgun around somewhere here which I was a bit sniffy at as I have a Schoeps. I better try it in a small-ish room and report back....

No podcaster wants to hear that, but it is 100% true. I'd choose a Yeti in a treated room over a MKE 600 or a 416 in an untreated room any day. There are cheap and easy ways to go about treating a room temporarily so it won't sound too reflective, and won't damage the walls. It's not nearly as inconvenient as having to process the audio from a cool-looking video in hopes of rescuing it.

Yes, it is unfortunate that people disregard the acoustics, maybe because buying microphones is more fun than getting panels?

I just finished making a video in my new home studio which is not treated yet and was instantly reminded of how bad it is without panels.

Homemade acoustic panels made of rigid fiberglass boards (and wood, fabric, and adhesive) will get you really really far. You can set them up on stands and move them around if you can't mount them, or hang them like paintings. A shag rug or just a rug really helps with floor-ceiling reflections, but a couple of homemade clouds is another level up. The 6-pack of Owens Corning 703, which can make 6 panels, is about $100. Get a staple gun and a couple cans of good spray adhesive, some gloves and some COVID masks and make it a project. I used gardening fabric to wrap the fiberglass to prevent particulates getting out, then bought some bulk burlap to finish it. I made two 4ft x 4ft x 4-inch thick clouds for the ceiling and that b* is dead.
