Welcome to the continuation of the epic "Who Uses Plugin Alliance?" thread!
Because that thread exploded from a single-purpose thing into something entirely different, we thought it was best to start afresh with a new more generally-labelled thread next to the fantastic Deal Zone for you to discuss all your plugin needs, the deals and offers you find here or elsewhere and if it veers occasionally off-topic then no biggie. If you find anything great that isn't in the Deal Zone please feel free to submit it there for others to discover!
Everyone in this thread will be starting from scratch and everyone is welcome. PLEASE be civil to one another - we will be watching closely and taking action against users who personally attack others, act like general trolls or cause any other problems. Please smash that report button if anything breaks the forum rules (rule no. 12 is part-suspended for this thread only - but if shills become an issue let us know). Have fun and happy spending!
Doesn't seem fair. I just came to that thread like two months ago or so.
BUT - reposting my question - Anyone use Leapwing UltraVox? It's cheap on PB now...
I know there are a few fans here of the signature series plugs from Leapwing with the Vocals sections considered standouts. For the price I think it is worth a demo.
The MannyM plugins of Waves are a well kept secret... I remember them being new and as an owner of the Mercury bundle getting them for free. Tried them on mixes left and right but abandoned them because the loading time on them was awfull.
Fast forward to 2022 and I've started using them again.
The reverb is an IR loader and the EQ is actually some kind of Q-Clone IR type thing as well. They're actually really nice plugins once you "get" them.
The EQ is some kind of combo of Neve, Pultec, Avalon, ... with each band having its own "vibe" (I'm guessing Neve low end, Avalon high end? This stuff must be on google somewhere)
The Reverb Hall is my go-to generic hall now - I think the rooms and ambiences are actually Bricasti impulses and the halls are Lexicon impulses?
Who Uses Plugin Alliance? How to they compare to Waves, FabFilter, Softube, Sound Toys, UAD etc.
If so, what's your favorite "go to" plugs?
Thanks!
PA channel strips, SPL stuff, DS Thorn, PA Amps
Softube CL-1B, TSAR, Fet Compressor
Soundtoys Echoboy, Phase Mistress
UAD Culture Vulture, EMT reverbs, Moog Filter
UVI Falcon, Thorus, Scratch Machine
Audiority Blue Face
Fabfilter Pro-Q3
Sylenth1
Waves does not exist in this dojo.

And this is how we know ChatGPT is rubbish.
No mention at all of $8/plugin. Son, I am disappoint.
