What ZangTumblyTumble has explained above could well be the reason for this.

Another possible stumbling block is the login icon on the Acon Digital website:

When the browser window is resized smaller, the links in the top row on the page move into a "burger" menu.
Clicking on it shows the login icon on bottom right.
When clicking on the login icon, I could not move the cursor on the login command box.
In full size view the login icon worked as it should.

My first impressions of the Acon Restoration plugins are good.
They have a balanced ratio of useful setting options - not too many, but also not too few of them.
They do their job very well and imo do hold up with waves.
Z-Noise offers more control over the way transients are handled, on the other hand DeNoise can work in M/S mode.
What I particularly like about DeHum is the scan function for automatic fine-tuning and how the activity of the bands is visualized.
DeClick offers more setting options than X-Click, works well taming smacking and cackling voices.

It may well be that the weird business and marketing practices these days can sometimes make you a little too suspicious and sensitive.
So I got worried when PA charged my credit card immediately at the moment of the purchase, but then it took some time until I received the goods.

I keep my fingers crossed that all those who are still waiting for an answer from Acon can redeem their purchase soon.

I'm assuming you're on a Mac. As you may have read here I posted a picture of what I was seeing here when using Firefox latest version on my Mac. Tracked it down to the ad blocker I was using so I installed a different one. And that worked okay until this morning when it was back to losing avatars/user names/etc. Apparently this site has become super-sensitive to ad blockers.

I know there was some verbiage towards the top of every page saying for me at least that I had cookies disabled and that certain functions might not worked. But I got that message for months and everything worked ok until two days ago. And I didn't have cookies disabled to begin with. I had ads blocked with a browser add-on as well as some scripts. I don't like seeing ads and giving free publicity for vendors/developers and I don't like letting scripts run when I don't know what they're doing.

You may want to disable ad blockers if you're running one. Also earlier in this thread someone mentioned having the same problem using Chrome and that there was some setting they had to change - something to do with graphics - don't remember the setting. Search back a couple of pages to find it.

My remedy is that unless I want to respond something I leave the adblocker on.

Thx for responding, well it is very sneaky business going on. I had to disable adblocker for the quote button to appear.

I don't wanna get a seizure with all those flashing and screaming ads on the side etc.

Ok, found another adblocker that works how it should, carry on.

As others have posted, I occasionally get the pop up window wanting one to save all settings but giving the option to only choose essential settings. Now, I just need to click save and exit for those. Been doing that since they started (a year or so?). I have no ad blockers installed.

Worked fine. I did see the ads on the right side of the screen. Oddly, ever since they moved us to the new thread location, the ads have been sporadic, very often not appearing at all or perhaps just occasionally reappearing on the next page or a refresh.

As I mentioned previously, I’ve noticed other differences, such as posts just disappear when deleted without saying who deleted, no replies/count link in the lower left of posts and “Show only [user name] posts in this thread” (accessed by clicking user name for a post on the left) no longer seems to work. I have just chalked these oddities up to where they put this thread, as I don’t experience them in any other gs threads.

On first listen it sounds like compression with attack adjusted to bring out the transients. Seems to be more versatile than the marketing would suggest. When I have time I’ll see how it works on the drum machine track of the tune I’m playing about with — it’s an analogue drum machine so should take a good bit of mangling nicely. Some independent developers seem to have joined ("united") their sales efforts. A "Plugin Alliance" of some sort...

I agree it is a bit different with UP. Based on what is on their about page, they are a “federation” of plugin developers, working with MeldaProductions. The definition of a federation is a group operating under a central governing entity within which smaller divisions have some degree of internal autonomy, as opposed to say, an alliance (the state of being joined or associated). https://unitedplugins.com/about

In case you missed it, I also posted about being surprised upon getting the free FirePresser license from MP support a few pages back. @ tempsperdu let me know both were bought out by Image-Line.

Image-Line (of FL Studio) also owns UVI, WA Production and Producer Loops now for the last 1+ year. This is confirmed by them on their sound page and in other forum threads.

I own many Leslie emulations. Imo, the IK Leslie Collection (Amplitube and TR5 versions which are about the same) is one of the better ones. It and UADx Waterfall Rotary Speaker are close. Both do the 147, which is my fav for drive, etc. UADx WFR has a terrific sound, however IK is very close or arguably the same/better sounding depending on settings. IK perhaps edges out with its strong suite being multiple Leslie versions also available. Their 122 is sweet for a bit smoother tones, too. And it is the only Leslie endorsed by Hammond-Suzuki that I am aware of.

Again, imo, one would be hard pressed to differentiate it on a digital DAW track from a mic-ed digital track of a real one. And I have owned and mic-ed / recorded real Leslies for years. Of course, standing in front of a real Leslie is a different matter.

I paid that for it and would do it again! YMMV

I agree. I have both TRacks and AT5 versions and they are great emulations if you are into Leslie sounds.

agreed... these do sound good and you get both the t-racks and amplitube versions... i hesitate with maybe a potential group buy coming up?... they haven't done one for a while, soooooo.....

I am thinking that I may pass on the next IKM group buy. The last one was such a debacle, and my system ended up bloated with so much that I haven’t and likely won’t use. I also don’t like that updating can add so much more. I think I may be more content just hand picking what I want, like the Farm Stone Room Studio Reverb when it has a good sale. I’ve been a long time Genesis fan.

I can see that if it works for you, though. May work out.

If anyone needs some really nice virtual pianos for cheap... the cool Swedish indie developer Sampletekk is doing an insane sale for another day or two, I picked up four of them just for grins and they're all nice.

I think the Yamaha C7 model is particularly great. This guy used some nice mics to sample these and did a great job implementing them. Download and install process is hilariously old-school PC, gotta download and unpack a ton of RAR or ZIP files and then manually locate the files in Kontakt, but they sound damn good and they're crazy cheap at the moment.

I immediately liked the Yamaha more than the Steinway ("Black Grand") but I think I could get the Steinway more to my liking in short order with some tweaking. He sampled the Steinway with Gefell and Milab mics, which I thought was an interesting and exciting couple choices! He sampled the Yamaha with a pair of U89, and to my ears it came out pretty ideally, for my purposes at least.
