This is the future location of a new facility for music recording and film sound post, located in Portugal, near Lisbon. Construction on site will begin next month. The complex will have 6 rooms: a recording live hall with 275 m2, with 8 metres of ceiling height and a Steinway D-274 concert grand piano; a 70 m2 control room, with 4 metres of ceiling height; a 70 m2 mixing and mastering studio, with 4 metres of ceiling height; a 106 m2 film dubbing stage, with 6 metres of ceiling height; a 60 m2 foley room, with 4 metres of ceiling height; and a 68 m2 sound editing/design and premixing studio with 6 metres of ceiling height that will be builded in what was once the property's private chapel. Every room will be floated and will have immersive monitoring setups, from a full theatrical Dolby Atmos system in the dubbing stage to 9.1.6 HT Dolby Atmos in the other rooms. Blueprints and acoustics were designed in-house by the sound staff and every panel will be custom made by local wood work forces. This is a private facility with a small staff team and work will be provided only by resident sound engineers. Estimated construction time is 28 months.
