looks like in the DAW section of this forum there is nothing for Audacity! So I guess the best place to ask would be right hear

Anyway. On my old PC I have Audacity version 2.2.1

Its been a while since I used it and I never did a lot with it anyway so have forgoten most of it any way. Infact I think the last thing I used if for was dropping an mp4 file onto it to change it to mp3 (so not a lot there)

I remember Audacity used to have a forum like this where you could ask your questions, but looks like it has been taken down!

Anyway, I need to drop the key of an entire recording by one active. The recording is a video file and I will drag and drop it onto the program and I am sure it will transfer it to audio. But my next problem is how do I drop the key an octave. It must be a simple process I guess

Audacity is up to 3.2.4. Also, it is generally not considered a DAW. I don’t know how good its transposition algorithms are, but you might want to look at va one of the free DAWs out there.
