Vertigo VSS-2/3-Anima Ascent Plugin Pic-2025

Honestly, to me it looks like a way to recycle and resell the VSE2/VSC3/VSM4 algos through PA and a way to sell more licenses. I'm disappointed that their coming back is a rebranded/compilation of their previous work that I already bought through Vertigo and I'm sure their won't be crossgrade of any kind. This marketing strategy seems a bit of a classic one now in the plugin business (rehousing code in new gui). But I'm still interested to see what they will release after this one !

Hey Endor, so it looks like you're right about it being the same plugins that Vertigo did for themselves but, instead of each individual version, they are putting them together. I wonder why they didn't just do it through their own company.
PA does have a huge platform and I don't own any Vertigo plugins unless it's the PA versions cause I thought they were ok but I just picked up the Abyss P11 from Pulsar Mod when I was checking out the Vertigo plugins and that P11 smokes everything so, I passed but I'd be willing to check this out.
I'm glad they are doing it through PA as I have a lot of money tied up in their plugins.
It's a smart move now that I think about it.

I'd still be interested in seeing why they went back to PA.

Maybe Vertigo wants to sell more licenses without having to deal with all the tech support it induces. Looks like their support is a bit slow and not very responsive from time to time according to users feedback on GS. They also have a license system that isn't very easy to use, a department where PA is well thought.
PA is obviously a huge seller in this business so it must be a marketing/outsourcing strategy from Vertigo. Just my 2cts...

Most of my bases are covered but I do remember really liking the compressor whether from PA, Vertigo or Acustica. I’m here just to be able to demo again vs my usuals to see if something gets replaced. Coming from PA I know the price will be more palatable at some point.

I use all of them a lot in my projects and especially the EQ for me is a secret weapon - the distortion module alone is so good. I am looking forward to having everything packed up in a strip and I couldnt care less if it is with PA or their own - as long as the algos are from Vertigo Sound (or their respective programmers).

I also hope that Vertigo will keep its "in house coding"

It must be just a gigantic resource suck for a boutique hardware builder to ALSO try to do support for plugins…. Builders turning all of this over to brainworx, mix wave, kiive et al seems like a much better deal for everyone involved, including the consumer
