Get one!
I have one and I love it. I haven't bothered comparing it to any other reverbs and I have no idea of the quality versus any other hardware but to me it just sounds fantastic.
It's so easy to dial in stuff. I don't use any presets except for the first few, which are just the algorithms. A couple of knob twiddles later and it's just perfect.
I also updated it with the new firmware which added a freeze mode which lets you freeze the reverb and put it in a loop and cuts out any new dry signal from going into the looped reverb and just passes any new signal through the pedal. What this does it lets you hit a crazy chord or something and get some crazy reverb happening, make it loop and then solo over the crazy sound or improvise some new stuff, without disturbing the "reverb bed" you just set up. Great for some new, creative ideas.
I don't bother saving presets, I love writing everything down on recall sheets so the only negative I can really come up with is that once you dial in your settings, it defaults back to the preset name and there's no way to read your settings unless you disturb the knobs to re-activate the display. I really wish there was a way to step through the knob settings so I could write them all down one by one without disturbing my settings to see. That's about my only complaint. That, and there's no on/off switch. You have to either unplug it or cut the power to shut it off.
I initially thought the pedal was too quiet, but there's a function to boost the output by 6 dB which also words great.
I love it. I have it sitting next to a Strymon Timeline and together they can give me everything under the sun. Who would have guessed that my ideal effects setup would be two guitar pedals sitting on top of my rack.
Although I'm still lusting for a Moog Phaser pedal...I really should get one of those soon.
Regards,
Frank
