Does this update fix the issue in Pro Tools where Waves plugins can't be saved in the Favorite Plugins menu?

That was quick! I totally agree though, I prefer high-contrast, bright user interface...I guess I'm not 25 any more

There's not only that but the old GUI had values on the interface which gave you at a glance information, as well as parameters in particular positions so you know exactly where things are based on muscle memory from decades of using these plugins.

I'm not sure why there is a trend these days to give things a new coat of paint and dumb it down at the expense of usability and speed. I would have hoped Waves would have provided the older interfaces like they did with other plugins but I can't find them.

Working here. However, I don't think that was WAVES specifically. It was all third party plugs for me, before updating to Sequoia.

Nice work Waves - I hope you do this with all of your plugins with the Version 15 update so everything is improved and streamlined.

I'm glad that JJP Signature Series has Analog Noise On/Off switch now. It would be nice if Waves added it also on the CLA Signature Series.

What they really need is to add a wet / dry knob (or wet solo) To CLA Vocals

A high contrast mode would be nice. I sometimes wonder if any of these big plugin companies have anyone on staff that knows anything about ADA compliance or accessibility. I'm getting older and my eyesight was never great to begin with, but it's getting harder and harder to read some of these fancy schmancy slick UI's.

Yes Logic takes ages to scan the V15 plugs here as well..I'm on a 2019 Intel Mac Pro running Sonoma.

This seems to be a bug introduced in LP 11. Although new plugs would always be scanned in previous versions of LP, they would only need to be scanned once, not on every launch.

Makes me glad Logic isn't my primary DAW.
I only use it to collaborate with friends who are Logic users. My main DAW is Digital
Performer.

Glad to hear its working for you. It was only Waves for me too. Seemed to a common issue on the DUC forum as well. I won't be updating to Sequoia on my work desktop

Sequoia is still problematic for many devs. I always wait at least six months before jumping to a new MacOS..still on Sonoma atm (which Apple just recently updated again).

I personally have had fantastic success on Sonoma on a M2 Max using Pro Tools and Logic Pro. I think honestly it is running smoother than Ventura. I couldn't tell you if you're running intel - but just thought I'd let you know just in case you're on silicon. Blessings!

Waves wants me to erase everything including the installer and going into many folders - the list is substantial- ok huge. Trying to explain to support that this was a new install and not a migration… playing email tag now…

Posting if it helps others:


Go to the following locations and delete the mentioned folders/files:
Library > Applications Support > Waves - delete the WavesLocalServer folder
User Library* > Caches - delete the numba folder (if exists)
User Library* > Application Support > Waves Audio - delete the WavesLocalServer folder
User Library* > Logs - delete WavesLocalServer.log
* (to access the User Library - In Finder, click on the Go menu, hold [Alt/Option] and click on Library)
Launch Waves Central and go to the Settings page.
Click on Clear Central Cache.
Reinstall just one of your V15 plugins - doesn't matter which one.
Launch Logic and see if the issue persists.

Totally with you on that. Seems like they only employ young designers with perfect eyesight who are way too much influenced by modern web design shenanigans… and on the other end of the spectrum emulations that mimic the hardware interface whether it makes sense on a screen or not.
