Kiive Audio releases the XTComp Compressor

Not to mention some of my Spitfire Audio, Orchestral Tools, Embertone (maybe others) that I bought directly from these developers showing up in NI - the whole thing's getting quite combobulated!

I messaged Plugin Alliance about the delayed release of XTComp and Tape Face updates, here is their response:

"Thank you for reaching out. These products will be updated, but I do not know the implementation timeframe. I will forward this to the development team so they see the demand!"

And you did the right thing!
This is what I am talking about - if you write them a Question/Complaint every day - and probably write them to them AT THE SAME TIME with the ENTIRE team/users who bought these plugins - then PA will immediately GIVE IN and DO what they have not done for more than half a year!!! (they will provide us with updates to these wonderful plugins).
For me, the linear phase OS function in the Tape Face plugin is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT - because I work most with Mastering (Stem Mastering).

I read how customers who bought the Kirchhoff-EQ plugin from the Chinese company Three-Body Technology began to directly take/receive Updates from Three-Body Technology. I don't know how Three-Body Technology regulates this - but I read many messages from users.

"Just a question" to the developer - is it possible to simply receive your update personally from you, and not wait another Half a Year or a Year - or never...?

Kirchhoff direct from TBT , also downloaded Hype update directly from Adptr which I bought from PA

So there is no problem to get updates directly from the manufacturer in time (bypassing this terrible PA).

It should be Kiive writing to the PA support regarding the update delay. But he didn't?

No worries! And didn't mean to come across offended just wanted to share the post since it's the same questions happening in both threads. You just happened to be the most recent post I replied to haha

Quick Update here: both xtcomp and Tape face are in active QA. got a few notes for changes this week but this means they should be out very soon now

Just saw a post in the Tape Face thread and saw that both XTComp v1.0.2 and Tape Face v1.1.1 updates are now live on the PA site.

Here is the changelog for XTComp:

- Added back the original compressor algorithm (Mk2 is the current algo, and switching to Mk1 enables the Xtress algo)
- Added new preset menu and top menu
- Added copy A to B and B to A functionality
- Fixed Ratio automation parameter
- Fixed gain jump when using I/O link

Anyone else getting an error when launching Pro Tools that the new version of XT Comp is not a valid 64 bit AAX plugin? VST version works fine here, but I can't get it to work in Pro Tools. I sent a ticket to Plugin Alliance support, but figured I'd see if anyone else was having this issue.

We ran a bunch of tests for XT Comp in Pro Tools prior to release as did Plugin Alliance’s QA team and confirmed it was functioning. But I’ll take a look tonight to see if I can replicate the issue and get it working for you.

I had this issue with another plugin I was beta testing for fairly recently. I was just looking for the email where they told me what the issue was once they found it, but it looks like I deleted it. I feel like they said it was something to do with either licensing or signing of the AAX version or something along those lines if that means anything or is helpful in any way? I might be way off there 😆 I don't know a darn thing about making plugins, so everything they told me was over my head. But I'm really looking forward to being able to use this update!

Redownload and install from the PA site If you had issues with pro tools. The 64bit error should be fixed now.

PA says they're on it and a fixed site installer should be ready today. in the mean time if the installer still isn't working for you shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll get you the AAX file

There seems to be a small bug with the present menu on the XTComp. I'm unable to hover over the factory presets to open the subsequent preset menu. I'm on an intel MacBook Pro running OS 15. Logic 11.1.2

I'm able to cycle through Factory Presets with the arrows, though in addition to Factory Presets not showing on hover, clicking Load, Save, or Save As does nothing.

Save As Default does work, Default Preset does open macOS' Finder and allows selection/loading of a preset from there, and hovering over User Presets does work as expected.

I'm using an M4 Pro MacBook Pro on macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 and REAPER 7.35 (Universal), in a new blank project with only XTComp loaded. The VST3 and AU versions exhibit the same problems in REAPER, as does the AU in Logic Pro 11.1.2.

I'll contact support as well.

I think the presets not loading was due to an installer issue thats being worked on, if you shoot me an email at [email protected] I can send you the fix.
