I can't see how to adjust the speed at which a filter follows the morph path. How do you adjust that tempo?

Rift is great and this looks really creative. Minimal Audio plugins are becoming buy on sight.

As far as I can tell from flicking through the manual, I don’t think there’s actually any built in modulators… I think you just have to automate the morph knob or use daw modulators if your daw has them. Seems an odd choice to make a wacky filter plugin like this without stuffing it with a whole bunch of modulation options though.

To make this really useful for things like sweeps it seems like you would have to have it sync to the tempo of the track. I'm confused how I would make sure the sweep happens over say 1 bar.

Was just considering getting volcano3 and maybe this instead, but don't see how to use it without that control. Perhaps dev can chime in.

Thanks for the heads up! No demo. No cash. Just too many options out there with demo to take a plug hoping it stands up to testing. I think when devs don't allow demos they are signaling their plug doesn't stand up to the others on the market. Just an opinion.

I'd say that primarily it's a signal that the dev team has low bandwidth, as making a demo version and handling that is akin to another feature that needs to be prioritized.

Is there any chance of adding a step sequencer or maybe midi triggering so I don’t have to rely on LFO’s? That would make it really cool! Unless it’s already there and I’ve just missed it?

Hey — to everyone wondering about modulation and things like "syncing to the timeline."

We decided that automation was the best way to do this because internal modulation inside of Morph EQ makes it very difficult to edit the paths and curves on the screen.

The benefit of using automation is that when you stop your DAW timeline, the animation of the points stops as well. This allows you to edit the EQ freely and sync everything to the timeline in a manner we feel is both easy and intuitive.

We totally get the desire to have modulation on board, though — I wouldn't say it will never be added, but I'd also say I think you won't be disappointed in its current state, and if that's your thing, our next flagship products will blow your mind

I do see they offer a 30 day refund. What I can't seem to find is if the plug is M1 native?

If it is not M1 native and they have low bandwidth as you say then more reason to wait, IMO.

For my workflow this doesn't feel like an omission - in Ableton I usually prefer DAW-based automation or modulators so that I can map things to multiple elements across tracks.

We have full M1 native support for all of our software

I would like to strongly encourage you guys again to consider a demo period for your product line.

As stated in other threads of your products I will never buy a plugin without the possibility of a trial. You can try to convince yourselves that "a 30 day refund is the same as a trial" but it really isn´t. I won´t try to explain the difference because if you don´t know it already it´d be a lost cause. I´m assuming you know why you´re taking this approach. But other developers do trials and ON TOP they give 30 day (or even more) refunds.

Brilliant! I am a very visual person, and Morph EQ really appeals to that sense of sound design.

Having dealt with developer before with a previous purchase ('Rift'), any concerns about their no demo/refund policy had already been well alleviated by their timely support responses and friendly, accommodating attitude.

As I use 'Numerology Pro 4', providing separate LFO modulation is already something I practice on a regular basis....so their approach 'plugged' right into my workflow.

It will be a very fun and creative tool to have in the box...and the price point, features, and fact it works on OSX 10.9.5! all made it an easy 'no brainer' (at least until I started playing with it, then my brain went into overdrive imagining the applications! )

There seems to be a lot of overlap with Shade EQ?

I think it is important to distinguish a 'morph path' from continuous modulation...'Morph EQ' is a very specialized EQ implementing a method of simultaneously tracing separate user-created 'paths' over a period determined by the direct, manual changing of a master macro control.

Additionally, it implements specific macros to globally 'pinch', shift', 'spread', etc. the overall initial base settings.

'Shade' is a deep implementation of individual modulators to many EQ parameters at once.

Certainly, with creative programming...the individual modulators in 'Shade' can work in concert to create some 'morph-like' patterns (Simon Stockhausen's patches for 'Shade' come to mind)...but the 'path' to getting there is very different, and ultimately the immediacy of creating a 'morph' is not as straightforward or as 'macro-controllable' of those individual modulator's time periods/positions.

In other words, 'Morph EQ''s 'trick' is that macro can be worked slow/fast/freeze/forward/reverse to control the position/period of the overall paths in a way that is more gesture based (depending on how you access that macro control') than continuously cycling individual parameters.

I myself own 'Shade', and love it...but do not find overlap for what I would do with 'Morph EQ'.

and splice rent to own (great for trial when there is none, and then buying)?

Great explanation of the differences. We enjoy shade as well. Morph EQ we feel is more immediate but admittedly less deep than Shade. The goal was not to look at Shade for any inspiration -- we were very focused on our Morph Path UX feature we feel is very gratifying and fun! Photoshop of filter movement.

could you please clarify whether this "next flagship" can do the things that Morph EQ can (and most likely a lot more)?
Since I own (and very much love) Rift, I know what a flagship of yours is capable of, and if this next one can do what Morph EQ can would rather wait for it than buying Morph EQ now.

Bought, I really like Minimal and this is very cool, does the eq/filter stuff in an unusual way, even so Minimal make a demo for your products.

Sure! I can’t say a lot about the next flagship product, but I can say this: it will make full use of our modulation system, generate sound, and do some of the same things as Morph EQ in an entirely different context. Also, it's still a ways off.

We’ve spent years creating an intricate and extensive modulation system. That said — it is not in Morph EQ by design. Morph EQ is a product meant to do one thing very, very well.
