still a little buggy as it crashes Samplitude PRO X4 but they are continuing to work on it. The crash is never sudden and catastrophic. it only occurs when you go to shut down the project, then it crashes to the desktop. but working in it and saving has been solid.
Same here, although not crashing it exactly. In Studio One, if you have it open in the session when it starts up, you have to re-select the speaker/cab/mic combo by clicking on the mic again once, at the outset of opening the project. It's related to an annoying design choice in which it keeps a border around the currently-selected item in each tier as if it's already selected, but in reality, nothing is yet selected; it just doesn't quite scream that at you. I've found that similarly, I sometimes had to click on the cabinet and again the mic after switching one or another just to get it to change the selection. When in doubt, if you don't hear a switch, my advice is to just click the cab and then the mic again just to be sure. Quirky as all get-out, like a beta release or something.

I've only had it a few hours but so far y inclined to agree. There's no competition from my go-to THU, even when loading up the Celestion IR's directly in their IR loader cabinet. That's at least in part because of the hassles in getting any kind non-phase-cancelling stereo image with two different ones in TH3. I've found it pretty much requires using a splitter/mixer and two cabs. Beyond that though, there is just a tonal difference even with a mono signal. I sill will obviously use THU for effects and such. It also seems more realistic and responsive than the WOS cabs I've tried, although I don't think I've tried their "dynamic" kind of IR if it's something beyond the normal cabs.

That checkbox has some issues in S1 also.

Must vary by amp & guitar . For me, z-curve cranked has been awesome so far. I'm also using the Suhr. The model without the IR loader or any of the filter buttons on it.

Agreed. They've got an uphill battle against the likes of Overloud, Line6 and Two Notes in the cost/value ratio unless they at least give some bare minimum rack components like Wall of Sound does AND give a free demo version. It might be that they're worried people will copy the IR's without but for Christ's sake: find a way, people.
OTOH, they probably know they're onto something with the sound, and if people are using cab IR's but not a full-blown modeller program, they're probably the picky sort like me that never is satisfied with even a little less than perfect. So maybe there is a latent niche audience or just the occasionally curious guy with a few hundred bucks to burn. Either way, they need to expand their audience big-time and to do that, need to get these little glitches out of the way. Still early on though.

You might double-check there; they've got at least 20 or so out now. Earlier today grabbed the ten that came with it plus the other 10-12 I had already as IR's (those were a $3.50 per speaker upgrade). I have to say, charging separately for the different IR's for the same speaker is lame, even if if they are different size configs (1x12 vs 2 , open vs closed, etc). OTOH, I like how at least now we don't have to keep loading up the "balanced" IR's and comparing to the "light" and "dark" IR's to see which fits better. The slider makes that so much easier. And the LEft-->Right delay is perfect for stereoizing a single cab, as the integrated Room ambience. Perfect, really.
