Searched but I haven't seen anything on this topic here... long post... forgive me...

Lately, I've been seeing an upsurge of YouTube videos about the Sonic 3/MJ connection again because of an article about the topic that made it's way onto Huffington Post last year (‘The Michael Jackson Video Game Conspiracy’ by Huffington Post). Fans have speculated MJ's involvement in the game for pretty much as long as the game has been around due to some very Michael Jackson-ish songs that are present in the game that kind of stand out from the rest of the soundtrack.

The base claim is that after the successes of Sonic 1&2, Sega got Michael Jackson to do the soundtrack for Sonic 3. MJ appointed a team to help him compose the tracks for the soundtrack:

Bobby Brooks
Darryl Ross
Geoff Grace
Doug Grigsby

The details after that get fuzzy.

-Sega, the company, has not confirmed nor denied anything officially, save for a mention in a later compilation that said MJ was "considered" for the soundtrack.
-The ex-technical director of the game said that MJ *did* compose some tracks, but they were removed due to the scandals, and they brought in-house composers to redo the soundtrack. Nothing he did remains in the game.
-Some within the aforementioned "MJ team" (most notably Brad Buxer) has confirmed that yes, he did compose stuff for the game, and yes the tracks actually made it in full into the final game uncredited, contradicting what the technical director said.

Basically (due to stalking this forum mostly lol)... I know there are people on here that have worked with MJ during the Dangerous and HIStory albums. This project took place between those albums (something like between 1993-1994). I want to ask those people that worked with MJ in particular, if they're still around here:

1. Have you ever heard of the claim that MJ did work on a videogame in the early 1990s (outside of Moonwalker)? Have you heard of this project in particular - either from MJ himself or from someone in the aforementioned team?
2. Assuming that Jackson did in fact compose for the game, did anything make it onto the final game?
3. Have you heard any of the tracks I posted before either in digitized form or in concept (possibly from MJ or team)?
4. Brad Buxer claimed that some of the themes evolved into "Stranger in Moscow." Are there other "real" (not 16-bit/digitized) versions of these unreleased but in existence somewhere?

What I gathered as a complete theory based on what I've read. - He was involved in the early sound development, bailed because he didn't like the midi/chiptune sound, and his original ideas were worked into the game. Don't quote me on this as being fact, but this is to me what was the likely scenario.
