Hello I am using the trial version on synthesia, it's a piano leaning software.

Right now I am using a Casio ctk 720 via its usb connection. The problem is that there is lots of latency between the keyboard and synthesia, I went into the settings and there are no buffer settings.

So here are my questions
1. Is there some other way to reduce usb midi controller latency?

Would getting a midi controller and going into my audio interface defeat this problem? I'd prefer not to have to buy one.

What audio interface do you have now?

I have an audiobox 22vsl but the Casio has usb and not midi. I would have to buy a midi controller. I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the latency without upgrading.

Well the casio only sends MIDI from it's USB connection, it's strange that is causes latency since it is usually related to the audio interface settings and not to a MIDI device.

That being said the drivers for the casio seem pretty old, wich is your current system? The problem might be that the drivers don't work properly on your system.

So another keyboard could fix the problem if it's related to the midi drivers of the casio. but we can't be sure unless you try to check if you could adjust the audio interface buffer in another way.

That interface doesnt have it's own application for adjusting it's buffer settings?

Hi i just downloaded synthesia for windows 10 but i'm facing latency issues. i have focusrite 2i4 audio interface and novation launchkey 61. when i use synthesia, i get latency. whereas if i use the same midi keyboard with same audio interface on the same PC in Ableton Live or any other Synth, there's no latency. Kindly tell me to fix this latency issue?
