I often use it on the master when I don't have access to my UAD Manley MP (like when i'm using my laptop). Great for top and bottom, and it works great for adding something back into a mix. The low end is nice and tight, I also quite like the 5k boost. The tube emulation works well on some things too.
I was sold on the NobleQ when I first tried it. I have it everywhere in the mix. I like it on snare for air, with broad Q around 14-16k so it will begin to rise in the upper mids. I will ususally have a couple of 550's on insert to boost lows and highs on the overheads and use the HPF on the NobleQ and the valve saturation to round off the 550's a little bit.
But the PSP OldTimer is also a winner for me. It really sounds great! Very "analogish"! If someone would ever clone a plugin to hardware it would be the OldTimer. Seriously!
I demo'd the Echo yesterday... Will probably buy it later today...

!
+1 for oldTimer!
If I had to restrict myself to one single plugin compressor, it would be oldTimerME.
Thanks for the opinions guys!! I've been working with it for the past couple of days and it is a nice eq.
What I was hoping for was something to let me rely on outboard less.
Unfortunately this isn't quite it!!LOL
Going to do more work with it today and make a decision later on.
Strange.... one of the only PSP plugins i didn't fall in love with... and i have them all... except for the sQuad EQs. Wanted to love it but it just felt 'wrong' somehow.
I do need to revisit and check out that ultra high shelf on some masters, though.
I'm looking into picking up NobleQ and one other PSP EQ. For those who are familiar with the bundle, if you could only pick one apart from NobleQ, which would it be?
Cheers.

I use McQ the most. It has a really useful bite and clarity to it, along with having pretty comprehensive freq and curve options. I would think it would be a perfect compliment to NobleQ, which seems to excel at the thick and soft thing.
All of them are useful to me though. If it isn't too much more, you might consider the bundle.
Big PSP fan - Vintage Warmer, OldTimer and the Noble.
they're in every mix, Noble is the only one i use for additive EQ.
Combined with the Metric Halo bundle and Logic stock plugs, i've all i need.
